I've got a Simpsons Pinball Party that is having an odd issue. Most of the time the itchy and scratchy Y fork switch doesn't seem to register during a game. It will sit there until ball search kicks it out. The weird thing is, when it happens, if I immediately go into switch test, it shows the switch as active. I can press and release on the switch and it registers just fine in switch test. Go back into the game and it will register a time or two and then just stop.

I thought perhaps the switch was intermittent so I replaced it and it's doing the same thing. Everything else is working fine. Never seen an issue like this where the switch will show as active in switch test but during the game will not register. The kickout coil is fine. It's like the game is ignoring it as it doesn't even do the sound and display that it does when a ball goes in that hole.

Any ideas on what could be going on?

FYI I talked to Stern tech support about this issue today and they suggested that I do a factory reset. Low and behold that did the trick.
