Hey guys, I’m finding that my garage door randomly gets stuck halfway open. Has anyone else had this issue, if so, how’d you fix the problem?

Hi. There was a bulletin from stern early on to move to a bigger coil. I did that and it has worked ever since.

Lots of good info in this thread. Including coil number if that is it.
Mine had trouble with the keeping the garage door open. On the garage door plunger mount under the PF I used washers to adjust the angle of the plunger. This makes it easier/lighter to lift the door up so it works reliably. The downside is that the door is not fully open, but the ball can still clear without bumping the door.
Thanks for your help, but I ended up simply replacing the existing coil which turned out to be a little burnt out with an exact same Stern coil and seems to be playing alright. So much so, I broke my own grand champion record with a score of 439 mil thanks to the garage door opening the way it should.
