Quoted from solarvalue:

JJP's Pirates of the Caribbean seems complex, but it's actually pretty easy to understand if you break it down into individual objectives. I thought I would post some explanations of the basic goals of the game. Obviously this game has many layers, so feel free to add comments about more complex scoring rules and strategies but I'll keep my posts simple so people who are new to the game can learn how to progress through it. Check out the Key Post Index at the top of the thread to jump to a particular objective. Some of this content comes from CaptainBZarre's rulesheet on Tilt Forums and the pictures are from TWIP and the Helicon Brewing thread or screenshots from the JJPlive streams. So here goes:
Objective 1: Sink the HMS Dauntless and start Curse of the Black Pearl Multiball
How to do it:
1. Climb the ladder (right ramp) to access the Black Pearl (upper playfield).
[quoted image]
2. Raise the sails by shooting the two spinners.
[quoted image]
The lighting on the ship will slowly become a dark shade of green as the spinners spin and, after enough spins, the “Load Cannon” targets will be lit.
3. Load the cannon by shooting either “Load Cannon” target. This will light the “Light the Fuse” insert.
[quoted image] [quoted image]
4. Light the fuse by shooting the ball into the cannon shot.
[quoted image]
5. Fire the cannon at the HMS Dauntless using the button on the lockdown bar. A successful shot will cause the HMS Dauntless to be destroyed and qualify Curse of the Black Pearl Multiball at the Port Royal Shot.
[quoted image]
6. Shoot the Port Royal shot to start Curse of the Black Pearl Multiball.
[quoted image]
Objective completed. Next, you can:
Collect super jackpots during Curse of the Black Pearl Multiball:
At the start of the multiball, a ball will be popped up into the ship. Super jackpots can be collected during the multiball by repeatedly loading the cannon and firing at and sinking the HMS Dauntless.

This is quite challenging. I have a hard enough time making the load canon shot in single ball much less during a mb. Just curious if anyone out there routinely makes this shot during multi ball?

What/where do you shoot after the Hurryup callout?

I haven't made a wizard mode yet. I thought I've been close though.

Let's say I'm playing the green/chest chapters and I reach the end of the map on the screen. I think it says shoot the center chest shot? Would hitting that start the wiz mode?

Quoted from misterschu:

I don't know what happens once you're deeper in the game, but a a single shot to any movie qualifies a chapter at the star map on the machine I play on.

Once the wizard mode is qualified, hit the corresponding shot to start the wizard mode. Chest starts Dead Mens Chest Multiball, Maelstrom ramp starts Red wizard mode, etc.

Very cool, had not noticed that the Skull and Crossbones for each movie on the LCD are each different, but they match the corresponding shot on the Playfield. e.g. the left lane skull (purple) does not have a bandanna on the PF nor on the LCD.
A couple things to add:
1. similar to what you show for the Red multiball, the LCD indicates progress towards each multiball. e.g. the ship's progress to the island on the right side of the LCD gives you some insight in to how many more spins you need to qualify dead men tell no tales MB.
2. multiple shots for the same movie increase chapter scoring for that movie. I think the base is 1000, and every additional shot to that movie increases chapter mode shots by 25 points.
3. having multiple chapters qualified when you start one increases your scoring for whichever chapter you start. Having one chapter will give you the base scoring (like 1000 x 1). Two chapters gives you 1.5x, three is 2x, four is 2.5x, all five qualified is 3x. (multipliers are halved for Norrington.)
4. Curse of the Black Pearl multiball is qualified by one shot into the hole in the Dauntless, but two misses will also qualify it.

Dead Mans Chest MB is the wizard mode for that movie?
