Anyone have any machine recommendations that plays similar to F-14? Plays fast, simple rules for the most part and ball times that are a minute or 2 at most. I love my F-14 and its a hit when people come over due to the fast paced gameplay.

Black Knight 2000. Although that might now got for the time constraints you mentioned but it's a super fast and awesome game. Best music ever!

Might have to look at Iron man. Firepower has been on my wishlist for a while. I've owned a T2 in the past and while it was fun, it was easy and ball times would get up there, sometimes 5 min or more. I didn't care for BK2K on pinball arcade, loved the original one though. Thanks for the recommendations.

Taxi. Fast, easy to understand, and when set up steeply and freshly waxed, it kicks my ass.

I think FT is similar in speed and intensity.

Bram Stokers Dracula!

Iron Man, BSD and BBH all come to mind.

No Fear. Steve Ritchie too.

Black Knight and High Speed are good suggestions. I think the new Star Trek is probably the best of those Ritchie flow games.

You never mentioned your budget.

On the cheap side, Gorgar and FP have shorter ball times but they are not fast paced at all in stock setup. Nothing like F14's ball speed. You can raise the pitch but then you have problems with flipper power being too weak to make all the shots unless you rebuild them with modern mechs.

Indy 500 has short ball times and some speed. More interesting rules than F14 or T2 as it has many modes and you can stack some. Great theme integration. If you are, or were into CART racing in the 90s, it will feel like a warm hug.

On the top of the budget scale, another vote for Iron Man if your budget allows. Great sound and looks, fast ball speed. Very short ball times unless you are an awesome player.

To me, IM and I500 are close to F14 as far as game-play feel.

Not a quick game. Can have very long game times.

I ended up going with Star Trek Pro. So far so good, after 100 games only 1 has been longer than 15 min and less than 5 games between 10min and 15min. Been getting better, I think 310mil is my highest with 100mil being HS4. It plays fast and flows great. I might have to stick to Ritchie games, although the wife wants a WOZ next. Thanks for the suggestions.

If you like fast, brutal games that don't break the bank, then it might be worth your while to take a look at Flash Gordon if you're in the market for another one some day.
