Center bank wiring (resized).jpg

I purchased a set of Seigecrafts Williams drop target slider boards for my Blackout.
I installed the center (Condition Red) bank ones last night and my targets are not registering properly.
When the right 2 targets are down, it registers the entire bank and resets them.
I have double and triple checked my wiring as per the diagram (attached), and it is wired correctly.

Anybody else run into this with these boards or have any ideas?

TIA

I forgot to add that I do have the boards themselves in the correct order as well.

Johnny;

Can you shoot a photo of that bank for me, how you have it wired? I wonder if there's something I missed when I came up with the schematic, many of them I only had access to the schematic manual and not an actual machine.

Does the other bank work ok?

Hans,

I will take a picture for you and upload it here.

I did not do the upper bank yet, so it still has original boards. Was wondering if this could be the issue.

Hans,

Picture as requested, let me know if you need more.

Thanks!

Wiring looks as per the schematic. I'll double check the switch matrix to make sure I have it correct.

Only thing I can't see is there's one more jumper on the boards, will be on one of the two targets that has a single diode.
Right above the wiring connector. It should be on the end target, not the center target.

All the diodes have the stripes the same? Away from the connector?

I'd be willing to bet you found my issue Hans...

I never even noticed the difference in the 1 diode boards (jumper at the bottom of 1) until you responded and I looked at the schematics again.

I'd be willing to bet I have the jumper-ed board in the center, and not on the end.....I will let you know.

On a positive note, if it turns out to be this, I'm glad I spent the extra money for the connectors instead of soldering the wires direct to the board

DOH!!

Fixed and working...

Thanks for the help Hans

Any news on the upgrade to replace these with sensors?

#10 7 years ago

I haven't had any contact with Steve in a while, unfortunately.

Getting a few e-mails today about Blackout drop targets, so I did an update to the diagram to answer the most common question.

Hey Johnny, Looking at these boards for a Williams Flash. Did you install the connectors or can the board be ordered somewhere with those already installed?

#13 3 years ago

I don't normally make them with the installed connectors, I don't know if the long term vibration will work the connectors loose or not. Just standard .156" headers, just like the ones one the CPU/Driver boards, except 8 pins instead of 9.

Is it possible to put in one of your replacement boards with the old boards? I tried but couldn't get it to work. I was getting continuity on all connections to the board where expected so I wanted to ask if it's possible to mix old with new before I do more troubleshooting. Thanks!

Sorry on the late reply. They can be mixed, yes, but probably need some wiring changes depending on the game/location.

Which game and target is that?

It is williams flash and it is the fourth target starting from the flippers.

Almost looks like it’s missing the diode and jumper on the bird, any chance you can get a clearer picture of the board without the wires in the way?

Here’s a pic of board and set that I bought. Looks like I bought the wrong thing. Lol! Argh!

Was the box correctly marked? I’d hate to have wrongly packaged things
