This seems like the best option. The only thing I am not sure of is the soap makeup.
3 drops dawn in a pint of water?
Anything else as far as hints / instructions that would help me do this correctly?

agree stern blades super simple dry! 6 pieces of tape along top setting position. Lift playfield and peel back front half. lightly press couple dots along top. Lower playfield and do the back half.
Smooth out any wrinkles, lifting decal to reposition if necessary.

Yes I don’t remove the play field, just raise it
I take the whole backing off before trying to install
Gently bend the blade to get it as straight as possible before install
Start on the back by sliding the blade between the cabinet and playfield, with pressure towards the playfield so it doesn’t stick, use the hinge circle as your alignment guide, you want a couple of mm of space between the top of the blade and top of cabinet
If you mess up it’s ok, it takes a few attempts to get it right, these things are durable and easy to take on/off a few times

For wet decals or mylar installs, I use Gila spray. For the side blades they are easy to do dry and without removing the playfield. I was going to write it up but found a video. This guy does it the same as I do except I don't remove the playfield. To accomplish this, I fold the decal back so I can grab it and pull rather than cutting it off with scissors as the guy in the video.
