Free is good, right? After photoshop and digital printing a new backglass, paintjob (man I love that 50's turquoise), new pins & retract mech's, LED's, massive cleaning including a 5 gallon bucket full of acorns and critter debris and rewiring all the cut jones plugs and critter chewed wire insulation, 6 months later have a beautiful 1959 United 4-Way Shuffle Alley. For some reason everyone walks right past my row of pinballs and goes directly to the shuffle bowl. This one isn't leaving my basement anytime soon!
And you guys have some sweeeeeet skeeball machines!

Hey nephasth, I'm picking up one of these 4 player skee balls this weekend. I. Hoping it's as nice as the guy claims. I understand that the 4 player model is pretty rare but I'm pretty new to the skee ball arena.

The 4 player model is super rare. The one you're picking up will be the only complete example I've heard of in my 7 years of collecting. Mine is just a "kit". It's definitely fun, but the biggest reason I switched mine back to single player was for the classic sounds I remember from when I was a kid.

Gotcha. Is there a way to tell if it's an authentic 4 player or a conversion? I'm going to pick it up either way probably. Supposed to be 100% working, just needs a freshening up (paint, cleaning etc.) fingers crossed.

Well, I picked up the 4 player skee ball. I guess only around 100 of these were made. It's in better shape than I thought. Needs a lot of cleaning and some painting but nothing else. Here's some picks of the backboard/scoring rings after I cleaned them up. I'll post more picks after I get it back together.

I used this wizard skee ball cleaner I got off of ebay with a green Scotch bright pad.

Didn't think we could make room for it until my wife said hey that would be fun!
We just moved to a smaller house.
It was the bowler or the pool table.
Pool table lost.
You can use acetone to clean the white rings. We had to do that on our skeeball before family was over for Christmas. Cleans really well and makes the rings pop.

I have a United Skippy that's almost identical. I'd bet it's virtually the same on the inside.
On the control panel, I rigged it up with another button for "Free Play" (originally said "insert 10c") and re-designed the legend text. Turned out great. Also sent the legs and that panel out for silver powdercoating which made it look normal again. The game is a blast to play especially when you set it to flash mode.
I have a skeeball classic with 100 pots. Found it locally in an auction. Needed some tlc when I got it, but she's up and running and all's well.
I wish I could have larger pieces but my basement stairs are not compliant. I still wonder how the hell I got the skee down there. I have 2 steps a landing and then a 90 degree turn through a doorway.
So whats the difference between model H and model S skee balls?
Always wanted one, but space has always been an issue. For $200 like that other guy found, I could make it work. Any leads in my area are appreciated.

Hardware wise... CPUs and power supplies. Maybe displays. The rest, including wiring, is the same.

I just sold one of these about a year ago. Had it forever and could not get it running in the last 15 or so years. Sold it to a guy locally who tinkers with EM's and he got it going in a few months. I am happy it was saved to a good home and is back up and running. Never saw another Pegasus or knew or heard of anyone that had one. Did find a sales flyer on ebay that I bought years ago but that was it.

Cool story, glad I could help. Luckily for us, back when I had an arcade business, I had a guy that did my EM work. He's still out there servicing them, so when I get stuck, I call him in, once every couple of years or so....guy knows his stuff!!!
Just picked up a top dawg but the metal tray that collects the shuffle wax/powder is missing. Anyone have one they can sell me? I found one on ebay but hoping to find one not bent.

or just use silicone spray, then you won't need one as much.
I have a Skippy and just went to Menards and bought a tray you put your washing machine on to collect the dust.

I am curious, does anyone own a "smart ball" skee ball machine? I ran across one about 5 hours from me for $300. I'm talking with the seller now and a neighbor to pick it up. It appears to be in decent condition but don't know if parts are easy to locate. Also the manual says it uses 3" balls, aren't skee balls 3 1/8"? I assume the hole is still 4"???
P.s. Hopefully Noone else in this club is near there and gets it before me.

Can anyone that owns a skeeball with the mechanical switches take a picture of the ball return trough for me? I'm having the toughest time trying to get the switches all adjusted so they score perfect. It's driving me noots...
Guys!!! I'm stoked! I will officially be a part of the skee ball club on Friday! Picking up the machine I asked about!

My neighbor is heading out in 6 hours to go get the smartball skee ball machine! It's a four hour drive, eight round trip. I can't wait! I was going to go with him but in the past 2 days I've worked 29 hours and about 50 since Monday. I'm too exhausted and have to much to do before the weekend with my business. 
Thanks so much! I think my issue is my switches need to be angled down more. Also my trough is different. It is plastic and doesn't have that rubber down the middle. I wonder if that causes the balls to slow down a bit.

Bend your switch actuator wires so that the switch just makes contact as the ball pushes the actuator wire. If they're bent too far in towards the ball, it could cause the switch actuator to bounce as the ball rolls by, which will add more points than what was actually scored. The center switches each add 10 points as the ball rolls down. The 100 point pocket switches will add 50 points when made, the other 50 points comes from the 5 switches down the middle. If your game isn't scoring enough points, some switch actuator wires may bent too far out from the ball.
I just learned this the hard way. If your machine is set to distribute tickets but your machine runs out of tickets it will no longer reset for a new game unless you unplug it and plug it back in. Dipswitch #1 on an S model is for the ticket machine. Should be set to the on position if you do not want to use tickets in your machine. Hopefully this saves someone the headache I had the other night.
Looked at a couple of Skee Ball games at lunch today. How do I tell which model they are. In a local pawn shop for sale. Two work and one for parts. The one I played looked like some of the bulbs in the display were out. From the little research I've done that seems to be common. If its a LED however that can be expensive. They don't know if they have the keys or not so couldn't do much looking inside, etc. They are supposed to call me on Monday. I went to the Bay Tek site and it looks like parts for the newer versions are available. Does anyone know of any other parts, manual suppliers for them other than maybe Brady? Any info would be helpful
