This has been plaguing me since i got a shuffle alley. What am i missing on the front molding to prevent the puck from smashing and bashing the hell out of wood. I put some rubber foam where something should be but its definitely not cutting it in terms of protection. I was assuming old rebound rubber but how is it attached.
Thanks for any and all replys

Go to na.SozoHapp.com and check out part #25-2002-00 shuffle alley side rubber. Most shuffles just had a strip of this stapled to the leading edge of the front panel. Stapled means something similar to a 1/4" crown staple used in pneumatic staple guns but you could even nail it on if you had to or maybe use a contact cement like 3M Super 77.

Check out McMaster Carr I put a 2 foot piece of red rubber 1/4" thick x 1" wide that fit my machine perfectly. It's a pretty dense rubber so far so good.

    Quoted from 29REO:

    shuffle alley side rubber.

This is what I used. I got new rolls from pinball resource for the sides. When I replaced those, I cut down a strip of the old for the backstop.
They also sell new metal instruction card panels. Yours is Beat Up!

Search MAD Amusements' website for "shuffle alley rubber". That's what I used when I refurbed my Gold Mine.

Thanks for the replys been thinkin it could have been the side rubber. Of course my side rubber is as hard as rubber will get from aging. Mentally i couldn't visualize it being what was there.
