Hi all, I'm a new pinball collector and this is my first post. I recently acquired a Shrek, my first machine. I've been going through it, changing the lights to LED and recently rebuilt the upper left flipper which was sticking.
I found the left rear flash lamp (the green one against the rear of the playfield) had been unsoldered. The other two (yellow and clear) work properly. When I reconnected it, the lamp was stuck always on. I replaced the lamp socket and actual bulb with the same results.
From poking around this forum it seems like replacing the drive transistor (Q25 on the driver board) is the next logical step. Could anyone who knows better than me confirm or deny my theory? Is there anything I need to know before removing that board?
Thanks!
