I'm always trying to find ways to get parts to spin on my drill press. With a couple of bakelite scraps and some ingenuity, you can get just about anything to spin for quick cleaning and polishing. For example, here’s a jig I made for polishing pop bumper rings. I could probably mix cookie dough with it, too.

Anybody else have some jig ideas they'd like to share?

Here's another jig—made out of a dowel—for polishing mini-posts. I could have just put these into the chuck, but I wanted more exposure for better polishing and didn't want to harm the threading.

    Quoted from jrpinball:

Recently, I used a wooden chopstick in the chuck as a mandrel for quickly polishing metal posts.

I like your chopstick idea with the metal posts. I'll have to remember that trick when I restore my King of Diamonds.

    Quoted from BALL_LESS1:

I bought this old universal wing jig from a surplus sale in Wichita right before I left. I’m thinking it would make a ginormous rotisserie to mount two playfields side by side, making a playfield swap a bit easier. I could also mount a whole cabinet in it to paint.

Holy mackerel, that thing is massive!

Jigs for playfield swaps are essential. I don't know how I’d do it without one.

    Quoted from MrBally:

I've swapped several Centaur and EBD playfields. using just a couple moving blankets and 2x4 pieces to prevent damage to bottom switches on the drop target assemblies.

    That’s a jig!
