I figured I add a thread in showing your flipperless machines. Here's my two. A singapore rolldown and a gottlieb flying trapeze. Which was the last flipperless pinball machine. It has a ton of backglass animation

Just a United Mexico hanging out in the kitchen because I don't have room for it yet. I'd love to get one of the pure mechanical games, especially Jigsaw. I played a whole bunch of it at the PHOF.

One day I will own a wood rail pin. They are getting harder to find here in Alberta. I have only seen 1 ad for a wood rail in the past 5 years. I can remember looking over the rails of a few when I was 4 or 5, and later my mom scooting away from the people playing them.

The Jigsaw is the best, just more to do and more fun to look at. Very cool.

Here's a pair I have. Attention lights up and is complete, but I need to rebuild the cabinet Stepper. O'Boy lights up, but is missing a stepper and I'll probably end up selling if I can't find the replacement parts for it.

I have two flipperless games and one is a bingo, so I'm hardly a good judge of how good a flipperless game is. That said I enjoy it. You can skillfully nudge the ball between the left and right bonus holes on the bottom of the playfield which is a lot of fun.

    #17 4 years ago

wow that limelight is beautiful, some living history right there

the older games are not really my thing as far as collecting but I definitely appreciate them

    #18 4 years ago

I just picked up a 1949 Bally Lexington with payout mechanism intact and working!
The game is a bunch of fun and I can just see it devouring nickles back in the day!

Picked up this gottlieb drum major the other day. The machine is in amazing condition. The only thing was the cabinet was painted over. I thought it was oil paint and decided to take some magic ereaser to it.

Long story short it cleaned up ver niceimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Its currently downstairs in my shop, going to clean it up a little and put it up in my newly redone gameroom. Ill try and get some video soon. Although its not too exciting until it starts paying you back in nickels.
Oldest pin I own, I believe its 1938.

My brother just picked up a 34 World's Series for me and I have yet to see it. it was refinished and chopped at some point, but seems good. Here is a video of him playing it with my niece and nephew. They are pumped, as am I. Now I just need him to get comfortable shipping it!

P.S. a generous pinsider tipped me off to the possibility that a cryptic Craigslist ad was possibly this game. I'll leave it to him to reveal himself if he wants, but let me say he's been a huge help over the past couple years.

The ad was titled 'old pinball machine' and only had the txt below with no pics.

Originally painted silver with full length legs
this one shortened and refinished at some time

You know what....you guys all suck. Greg gets a Fleet, you get the World Series, Jeff is Jeff, and I have a hole on the left side of my lineup.

Good luck finding an Army Navy! You'd have better luck finding a Mermaid I think.

But if you want a World's Series, those seem to still pop up.

Tickets bought for me to fly to my brother's place in Boston in a couple weeks and ship my 2 little games. Anyone have suggestions on how to ship? I was thinking about just putting the bodies, well wrapped, into a box and just heading to the fed-ex store. Another thought is to see if I could qualify them as oversize carry-ons for the plane.

The games are above, a world's series and a pennant.

    Thoughts?

Have had this game sitting in a backroom for a few years, absolutely no name or manufacturer info on it anywhere. Tonight I decided to go onto IPDB and find out what game it was, took me quite a while, but I now know I own a 1933 Genco Silver Cup!!

    20190224_214347 (resized).jpg

It functions somewhat, but it will be some effort to get it working 100%.
