Quoted from grantopia:Always loved it but was too cheap
Omg! Scooooore! So jealous. I've trying to pry one outta someone for YEARS.
Love that game
Quoted from cait001:Be sure to check my project about documenting Japanese elecmeca machines here. If you're in this thread it'll probably be of interest
Dood! I would be all over all that!
Finally scored a Par Golf pitch and bat! So stoked. Was hoping to get the 2 player version, but I ain't unhappy at all. Works perfectly. Only thing missing is the little golfer dude statue that sits over the bat. I'ma have my son 3d print me a 3d version of the woman on her follow thru on the BG.
Prolly paid a tad much, but I don't care. So much fun.
Also bought a beater CC pitch and bat from the same era for playing and backup parts.
Bargains galore at Pinagogo!

I went and got it, and yes, the back it falling to dust on the edges and whatnot... but it turned on, coined up and started a game. It's completely gunked up and suchlike, so the ducks barely moved and etc... but I am 80% there. The blacklight is even good, and the shotgun makes a great sound and recoils nicely.
I just pulled apart the gun and fixed the trigger switch, the big ol bulb is even good. I had to clean a lot of cobwebs out of the barrel, but now the shotgun is good to go. Next up score reels (very weird on this thing), and the flying duck and goose mechanics, and the duck and goose noises are just strange screams right now, but soon, grasshopper, soon.
So stoked.
Getting close to getting my free Duck Hunt up and shooting. Waiting on a part from dudah so's the goose will go up and down. (Thanks, Cowboy!)
I also kept wondering why a duck would stop in the middle all the time. It turns out I was missing a piece of scenery that covers the the duck chain and provides a rock for the ducks to hide behind. So I made one out of cardboard and painted it up with blacklight paint. A little sloppy (kept second-guessing myself), but close enough under the blacklight, eh. Anyway, while yer playing, yer focusing on the game anyway, right?
I was missing part #558-909-5. I added a dead tree on the right because i made the rock too short to cover the gap.
So stoked to get this shooting!

Spent money like a drunken sailor at the swap meet at Golden State Pinball Festival this weekend. Here's the first of several scores. I joined the trade simulator club! Line up your ciggie packs and get a token for smokes. ca1941 Anybody know where to get tokens for it. I only have one.

Also snaked this bad boy super cheap. Very close to working. ca 1946
Secret speakeasy gambling game. has a hidden drawer for payouts and a coin tube that is removable and looks like a piece of pipe. More on this gem soon. I even found the draft manual for it. The little handle on the right is a dummy. The one on the left is a spring loaded drawer for your payout.
A couple of stuck mechs, a couple of busted solder joints, one blown fuse, and a ball away from glory. I think.
Then we start mending the cab. The playfield is pretty much money!
Very stoked. It's so big!
Does anybody here have experience working on one of these? Ca. 1940 Cigarette trade simulator from Daval. Jackpot dispenses a token for a pack of smokes. I have it almost working properly, but the mech doesn't always spin all three wheels; just sometimes.
I think the token dispenser works, but jackpots are few and far between on this thing
Ok, I have this ciggie trade simulator working as intended except I found the reason it doesn't always spin all three reels. Each reel has at least one little metal tab broken off. The tabs are what get pushed by the mech to start the reels spinning and when a spot missing one lines up with the next push... There's nothing to push against. Everything else is working perfectly. I think I can fabricate the missing tabs one of these days. Meanwhile it still works much of the time.
Quoted from Mopar:Does that one have a reostat to adjust the arm strength
Negative. I guess since all the shots are basically the same distance they probably didn't need it.
Quoted from Mopar:A Friend of mine HDR came with a reostat.
Correction. Rheostat found! Must be adjusted just right!
