Here's my rarest game, I'm not even certain what the exact production year is since I don't have any paperwork on it. It's a horseshoe shuffle game called "Hoss-Shoes" made by Global Industries out of Cheyenne Wyoming. I'm not sure what, if any, other games they made. The game is fun, simple to play but very difficult, It has a simple push button scoring mechanism that lights up on the backglass (much like a shuffleboard scoreboard). I got it from a guy who grew up with the game in his house (his dad was an operator), and given the low plays on it (1,700 on the counter) I'm sure it was a home use only game. The pingate barrier that was supposed to pop up between games to avoid free play was never installed on the machine.

Quoted from AlexF:

Ok, here is another crappy photo but you get the idea. I am almost done messing with this 1937 Wurlitzer Skee Ball. Scoring isn't 100% perfect yet. I tried to keep this one as original as possible so I didn't really restore it, just fixed and cleaned as needed.

That's a beauty Alex! My only non-em game is a "newer" skeeball machine that I will eventually replace with an older mechanical or em skeeball machine. You've got some great games in that collection!

Here are my two contact bowlers:
1) 1960 MBA (set up at 28' but have the extensions to make it 40' if I ever have the space)
2) 1969 Bally Super Bowler (21')
Both great games!

Here is a link to a video of my MBA:

Quoted from Oldgoat:

I have a couple of 'flaunt my ignorance' questions regarding bowlers. When a bowler is a 16[footer, I assume that is just the length of the alley and not the full length of the machine. Is that correct? And, if so, how many additional feet do you figure the actual length of a bowler is? Second, how do they disassemble for moving? Specifically, into how many pieces would a 16' bowler break into?

A length of a bowler is the total length of the game (not just the lane section length), so a 16' bowler is the entire length from the front of the game to the back of the cabinet. United 16' bowlers break down into 3 sections (cabinet, pindeck section, and front lane section where the coin box is located). There are some Chicago Coin games with 2-pc cabinets, so those would break down into 4 pieces.

Lane sections are typically connected by long threaded rods and bolts and also wood blocks (underneath the center sections of the lanes). The pindeck section sits on a wood "shelf" that is built onto the lower bottom face of the cabinet and then gets secured to the cabinet by bolts.

Wiring harness runs from the cabinet to the coin box under the ball return section and connects/plugs together where the lane sections join together.

Quoted from Oldgoat:

Thanks, so the longest section on a 16 footer would be less than 8 feet, correct?

Correct, longest section should be over 7 ft, but less than 8 ft.

If any Ten Strike owners wouldn’t mind, I’d appreciate some photos of the armature coil area under the playfield. My game has a brass coil sleeve but no stop, so it moves. Thanks for any pics.
