Quoted from hoov:I might pick-up a 1958 16' United Ball Bowler this weekend if everything goes well.
Question:. What tools do I need to take with me since this is my 1st ball bowler? Got a ways to travel so I want to make sure I have everything.
TIA

Just the usual tools. And help!!
Quoted from hoov:John,
Are two guys enough to dolly that head up steps from a basement and carry the lane sections out? The guy said his steps are 4' wide.
I think so. I loaded mine out of a garage but with a dolly for the heaviest part, you should be okay.

You may want to ask how wide the doors are, but they obviously got it down there.
Those swirl balls look nice but a set of them is probably worth more than my bowler.
How bad were the originals?
I have a late 50's Bally bowler that I've been chasing a scoring gremlin on. On occasion, when scoring 20+ points (spare + strike or after a double), it will score 10 extra points.
Could find nothing electrically wrong so jumpered the wire driving the 10's score reel coil to a coil of a reel on an unused player.
Turns out it's a mechanical with the player one 10's reel as the one I jumpered to does not score extra.
Spring I'm assuming? Any other ideas?
Quoted from MrBally:Gummed up grease on the axle shift for the ratchet arm.
Thanks. I'll get them cleaned up and see what happens.
Quoted from gearheaddropping:Just finished restoring this old National Vending candy machine. What a beast. Had to get it into the basement in pieces after I cleaned and painted it.
These are still fairly affordable and are built like a Panzer tank but they are heavy!

Nice, but where are the Nestle Crunch bars?
Quoted from stashyboy:Just completed this full restoration. Not mine, there's no way I have the real estate for this behemoth.! LOL Really fun, 4 and a 1/2 inch bowling balls.

That looks great. Like the grey as the main color, does that match the original?
Quoted from stashyboy:72 days between posts is too long! Here's my contribution to preserving a bit of bowler history. Just completed the restoration on this Bowlette. A long, but satisfying journey!
