I picked up this nice original Zeno gum machine a few years ago. No guts, just the shell. When you think about where many of these were hanging, it’s amazing any survived.
Would love to find a Pulver!

Very Cool Indeed!

Have fun with the restore and please share some after pictures.

I am in the process of restoring an Acroprint 125 time recorder. This particular model makes quite an audible action each minute, though a lever action, which if it was in an office setting I would think would drive staff nuts (I realise these recorders were quite often in factory areas). Does anyone know whether this was common for most proprietary time recorders? Thanks Wayne

When I was in middle school I lied about my age and got an after school job..
The Time Clock was different, but the Time Cards were exactly the same..

When I was a teenager I worked on a farm that had a time clock just like that, and it definitely made a loud noise every minute.

Though, sometimes it seemed louder than others, which may have had more to do with how badly I wanted to go home than anything. I’m having anxious flashbacks just thinking about it.

We would cheat these time clocks and get paid a extra hour-
Wait until the clock will print 4:59, cover the “4” area of the timecard with another piece of paper and cycle printer. Your time card now has “:59” on it. Then wait one minute (now 5:00) and cover the “:59” area with small piece of paper. Cycle printer, your punch card will now show you punched out at “5:59” and it is really “5:00” Easy money!…

Thanks! She is my child. She’s a blast.

I pulled out a couple of International Mutoscope Lord’s Prayer tonight. Making 1 outta 2. Giving the one a little facelift with some new paint on the press.

Fun stupid little machine that doesn’t press anything, instead just swaps out the penny with a pre-pressed penny. Pretty silly.

Very Nice pickup I saw that on ebay surprised you don't want to keep it.

Its really cool and we love it but seems very "fragile" and parts are really difficult to find. The pins are unobtanium.

I really hate games that aren't reliable. I played it maybe 10 times before the main coil locked on so the game is now unplayable. When I got it, the "normal line" fuse was removed. I replaced it and it blew immediately. I think it has to do with some of the lights not working.

I have a pinball repair guy coming Friday to work on it.

Added over 2 years ago:

The pinball repair tech came and found a bad switch leaf causing the problem. It's all set now. It is for sale as well. Find it in the pinside for sale section for $14,750

Added over 2 years ago:

Also, my tech said the "normal line fuse" isn't used in these games.

people in this thread might enjoy my new "arcade exploration" post. There are 8 machines in it that still need to be identified, if you want to put your EM detective hats on. I would love any help locking down manufacturers, titles, years.

Oh man, I've been looking for a Sega Derby Day or jockey club for years! They have all evaporated, I know of one locally but can't get the owner to part with it.
Cool post.

Got one together a couple nights ago. Don’t see these sega copters often.i haven’t seen one available on the open market for a good 5 or 6 years now. But here’s a couple pictures I took.

I put it together to trade it for an equally polarizing/caliber game. I may actually see it through to getting it operational.

Picked up this dumb little carnival type machine over the weekend. Made by Valco Automaten. Honestly I only picked it up because I have a mini rotary merchandiser in the same cabinet form factor. Pretty cool either way.

Anyone have any other games that look like these? Something with the same cabinet type.

Ha yeah I honestly just wanted to embody both machines in 1. I haven’t seen another example of either machine.I’m not good with videos but figured the “Ron Swanson” approach. No frills, no fuss. My dog however always steals show.

Quoted from poppapin:

Cool game and Corgi!!

Thanks. For being novelty, I’d love to keep finding these machines. I love the look. And Roxie surely is the better half of this duo!

Quoted from edward472:

Didn't expect the air raid siren!

Yeah I should have noted it in the video, but the siren goes off for a score of 19, 20, 21. 21 being the loudest, and 19 being just a small chirp. At least based on how it scores, I’m guessing it was necessary to alarm the operator at the fair for a win. The ti let dispenser on the front cuts it’s tickets accordingly, but is not 100% on alignment. That’s just my guess.

A short vid of the retro Diner in my game room which includes a number of mechanical devices

The retro Diner forms an important part of my Game arcade. It is particularly popular with visitors and those looking for some nostalgia. It features two twin diner seats (picked up from my local recycling centre following removal from a KFC outlet. The seats have been re-upholstered.
I fabricated the tables and timber side. A montage of the Chicago skyline acts as a window from the Diner (Chicago selected as the place where most of my games were manufactured).
A fully operational Seeburg wallbox plays up to 100 theme based tracks through a flash drive and relays sounds out through two former drive in speakers. A bevy of other items are shown including x2 Ask Swami napkin holders; a Duncan City of Chicago parking meter; an NCR cash register; a TV mounted within the face of a slot machine; various Coca Cola merchandise; some license plates presented to me during visits to US and NZ Correctional jurisdictions; and a few memoirs from my drag racing days.

Quoted from wayner:

THIS

Is my idea of a real game room - not simply rows of pinball machines, but a unique variety of entertainment. Visitors bring home lots of conversation and memories right there.

Bravo!

posted this over in the pachinko + pachislo club (https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/pachinko-and-pachislo-club) as well but it's also relevant here since they're EM machines. These are all from Japan and a rather limited range of years, like 1975-1977.

you can read more about them here http://pinballnovice.blogspot.com/2022/06/lets-talk-arrange-ball-machines-and-say.html

I throw you something fun to look into. I don’t know anything about this but love that Bally made it. I’d be interested in hearing any info about it. I tried looking up winners circle but didn’t find anything when I casually searched

Just picked up this 1962 United Bonus Baseball this week. Could be very cool. Hoping I can get it going. It's got a lot of cut/spliced wires, missing coils and hacks to test my patience.

Lyn Durant asked Harry Williams a little advice on the Running-Man-Unit.
Harry had no problem at all sharing the blue prints with his old time Buddy,
thus the Running-Man-Unit functions exactly the same as the Williams machines
but lyn added the full body men, which to me gives it a much better appearance.
Certainly a machine worth putting time into..
