Nope, painted ones had black dispensers, different characters and gum.
They were painting the damaged ones they had in storage instead of making more porcelain ones. A cent was getting to be too little for a profit, and they weren’t going to change mechs to accept .02 etc...and the writing was on the wall that these machines were coming to an end.

Yes, the yellow Pulver originally had the Mint and Spice on the choices, but I am not a fan of either gum, so I made a stencil using Too Choos and Joy Mint. I filled it with matching packaging. My yellow machine is powder coated, and I had to create a stencil and use brown paint for the graphics. Finally, semi-gloss automotive clear coat over the finished machine. It came out remarkable. Has green paint inside, with the clown and I even put a light source inside that lights up the puppet when the mechanism is in operation.

No one should know/care. The guy who sold me mine disclosed the issue so I was fine. I also knew it was restored obviously. Anyone using the stencils to paint their own should know they’re not correct I guess.
Your machine looks great. I like the light.
Just finished a full resto on a Select O Vend 1940s vendor-I am happy with the result and impressed by the engineering of these machines. Metal parts got the evaporust treatment and the cover, base and mechanism controls plate re-sprayed. Procured from John Spina packets and loaded them with Canels miniatures gum varieties.

Here's my Chicago Coin Bowler after a partial restoration. The purists will not like the paint scheme as I painted it to match the Champagne back glass. It is currently in my new basement bar I just finished a few weeks ago after months of building.

What's the best way to glue/attach a couple broken soccer player figures? I'm guessing these are resin.
Nice. Pinball is hard to beat for day to day play but I always find the EM arcades the most interesting. Hmm, not sure what the best way to repair the players are. I am sure they can be repaired with some success but I know I have seen some replacements for sale on occasion.
Just missed these.

Nice game, I had one and it was fun. When a player would break mid-game, we would call the remaining leg 'Le Foot'!
I'll be honest, I tried about 4 different glues/epoxy's and none were 100% effective. There is a lot of torque on the player when you kick and they always seemed to break in the same spot. My game hadn't been played in awhile, had a few broken players when I bought it and about 3-4 more broke when I owned the game. If I had kept it, I was going to use a good player, create a mold to make a new plastic player and mount that on the base.
No doubt it would have been great to buy a new replacement set, I never saw any when I bought mine.
I did repaint my players so they matched Argentina v England as in the 1966 World Cup!

Here are some photos of my 1954 Bally Magic shuffle bowler I acquired in January. I have everything working now. I touched up the paint trying to keep it as original as possible. I Repaired lots of previous but questionable wiring repairs. And finally the pins. Thanks Mopar for all the advice, always appreciated. Finally, I’m not sure if it’s staying or going to my friends basement. If it stays, I’m ordering a new glass from BG.

That crane game is really cool. I wouldn't mind having one of those. I have had a couple pins that have had arcade like features but an arcade game would be a nice side game to compliment the pins. I had a Winner horse racing pin. That was pretty neat.

Something a little different - 1939 Exhibit Supply "Blue Streak" crane. Wonderful restoration and shout out to Mike Hasanov (Vintage Coin-op) with whom I have had several dealings over the years. I know that he has helped other Pinsiders with their award winning restorations.
When first anticipated, I thought the crane would go into my game room, but the Mrs. was so impressed with the appearance of the machine that she encouraged me to keep it "upstairs" where it will be readily seen. So, it's now situated in my office. Works on a nickel. The grandkids love it and I got so much stuff in it so it assures that almost every attempt will be a winner. Look closely and you'll see some other things in there that are really more for adults.

Seen the video Mike did on this one absolutely beautiful! He does great work but his toys can be addictive and pricey. I have several of his pieces now and live them. Just had him do this Popperette to make movie night just that much more special with the kids.

Just completed a full resto of a 1940s Twintex condom vending machine-said to be shaped in the contours of the Empire State Building.
The black wrinkle paint on the machine was in a poor state; the threaded access lock was frozen and damaged; and the coin slide had the product pusher section broken off. Machine taken back to the bare alloy casting.

A replacement lock was not readily available so I modified a standard 7/8in camlock by removing the 'lock stops' and drilling out the centre to take a 5/16 NC thread stud. After drilling out four locating holes in the lock I used cold weld to secure the stud. Works well. The lock requires approx eight 360deg turns for full lock to the female thread within tyhe main body casting.

Repaired the coin slide by making two support braces and fixing the broken section using cold weld with appropriate locating holes.

Refinished the cabinet in original finish using a VHT wrinkle black spray can. Best to do this in the heat of the day with three quite heavy coats (5 mins between each coat). Quite happy with result.

Machine reassembled and now installed in gameroom with other vendors. Currently loaded with mdf blanks whilst I decide what to load in machine using packet size 2 1/16in x 1 1/8in x 1/4in.
