For anyone who has a Dale Gun, or is thinking of adding one at some point. New Glass! Done right. Limited quantity, was a real pain to get made but I needed a few and wanted it perfect.
This gameroom was a few miles from my home for 25 years and is now located in Florida. It's new upstairs location is a much larger space and I still get to enjoy it. The ball bowler has always been his main attraction at all his party's and always got played non stop.

The seller is very open about what the game needs. The biggest issue, would seem to be some broken formica on the front section of the lane that would be hard to replace since everything they're also has silk screened graphics excetera. Kind of a bummer.

Back in the 90s, I had a C.C. Fleetwood in a bar and it had minor formica crackling. In a couple months, the formica
was in very poor shape (got played a lot). I pre-done new formica on new plywood, and change it right in the bar.
While drilling, all I heard the owner say "Don't Drill Holes In My Floor!!"
It's presently in the local VFW. No graphics on the formica, but it looks okay..
IMG_0404 (resized).JPGI have a CC Top Hat that I am looking to ship and the shipper needs the size and weight of the machine broken down. Anyone of you Ball Bowler guys happen to know the dimensions and weight by chance? I mean the dimensions I surely can handle but no idea on the weight!
Also, currently working with M. Bianchi .... anyone recommend someone for shipping??? Going from PA to CA

I would guess 5 to 600 lb judging by the size of the head and the number of sections.
I still have a ball bowler project in far west burbs available. I'd like to get one of the cars back in the garage!

That does sound pretty darn close. I've moved goose necks multiple times. I'd say the head is maybe 200 lbs. The pin unit lane section,
220. The ball return end (front section), 75. And the ball lift box 80 - 100 lbs.

I would replace my shuffleboard with one of those bowlers in a second. Wish I could find one locally.
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback on the video. When I start to work on the mechanicals (after a few other projects get done) I will make some more videos. Plus I'm going to go with a custom pin design. And eventually I want to do more with the lighting on the lane - but that's a whole additional rabbit hole to go down 
I am in the process of undertaking a full restoration of my United 1962 16ft ball bowler. When I acquired this machine I was aware there was a hack within the main cabinet.

While undertaking the resto I have established that the hack by passes burnt out terminals on the lower jones plug which probably occurred because double fuses were applied to the power supply ie normal+hi.
Does anyone have a pic from a machine of this era which shows the placement of the orange and purple high powered wires on the lower jones male and female plug. I have replacement male and female jones plugs and would simple route the orange and purple separately on the upper and lower terminals but one of those terminals has a wire from the coin box coin lockout coil. Thks Wayne

Not exactly.
You have only 7 small boards like this one for 10 pins on the Bally Bowler. You find them on pins 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 10. They act like a switch. The role of those 7 boards is to freeze (via the pinfall relay) the score motor when a pin is in transition from not hit position to hit position.

The weakness of these boards is that you can find cracked solder joints and it's a good idea to re-flow them to avoid troubles.

The machine detects that a pin is hit using a switch (count switch) that you can find on each pin mechanism (total of 10 count switches, one per pin).

Each pin has it's corresponding trip relay located in the back-box . When a pin is hit, it's count switch closes and drops it's corresponding trip relay in the backbox telling the machine the pin is hit...
Another Pulver gum machine (Stop and Go Cop), made from the 20’s thru the 40’s. A cent gets you a piece of gum, and triggers a mech that makes the policeman swivel.

These have different levels of restoration. The green one has an original porcelain cover, the red has been repainted.
They were banged around a lot, being in bus and train stations etc, and being 70-90 years old they are hard to find in good shape.
I like the bright colors of the Pulvers.

Tab gum machines are way cool!
Just finished a Pulver Yellow. If you're looking for the tab gum for any machine, call me out - I make reproduction boxes. Also stencils for the Pulver machine. This one was done in powdercoat.

Really like the Pulver restorations and coin-op vending. Beautiful job. I have a Stoner machine for the "tasty treats," too. Including one lane for the doggy.

I restored a Stoner Univendor, an earlier version like yours, from 1953. Eight pocket, no gum vendor. Added some LED's for the candy pockets and price windows, and also on the mirror in three spots. The mirror is custom-made with the word "Sweet" running thru the center, also lighted. That was a fun project. But I really like the gum vendor on yours

My friend also has connections for the gum pieces. Out of Ca I believe. Not real gum, but looks real and smells minty. The (original copies) wrappers are printed, cut, and hand wrapped. I did eat one once and didn’t get sick...that’s all I know
$.50 a piece! But since they’re NORMALLY not eaten, they just get put back of course. Allows you to ’excercise’ the mechs. Kids want to eat them, but I just point them to some real gum in a different machine.
oh my gosh these candy machines seem like one of the most unreasonable things to have in a game room but they are all so beautiful and super cool

Speaking of unreasonable for a game room....but you never know when you might get lucky. My condom machine works and dispenses... I wouldn't trust one, even though the package is still sealed.

For this thread, I'll add a few more things that are coinop related -
Pelham Puppets Marionette Theater. Been modified from the original 8 track loop to play a cassette tape of children's songs. Timer runs for about 2 minutes while the puppets dance. I have various tapes for it, but also modified it to run with a Sonos speaker under the unit, which will play whatever song/play list that I, or the kids, want. With the changing tastes of my grandchildren, it currently is playing sound track from Trolls
Lil' Trigger horse ride. This runs on a dime, but no sound card currently installed. Could be added but chose not to. This is the 1/2 size version of Sandy. These too, stayed outside all year, but small enough to have in the house.
Mini carousel - at 4' in diameter, it could go into a gameroom, but keeping it outside. Not really afraid of the elements...these stayed outside of grocery stores for years without casualty. I had the coin box mech removed and it runs on a remote control fob.

That's awesome, I've been wanting to find an old condom machine for my guest bathroom decor for a long time now. But only ones I ever had a chance to get were newer generic machines. Not cool old style ones.

It counts!, and those look like 6" pins. If so, it has to be one of if not thee last bowler with them.
I thought the 8" (8.5) were out by the begging of 1953. Looks like it has a nice cabinet..

That's funny!, but can understand how that could be true..
My first machine was an United Shuffle from the 50s, and then an United Skee Ball Shuffle for use as a
parts machine, but somehow got that working. Then the pins, em arcades, and whatever else, and finally
had no choice but to slow up, but still always have an eye out..
