I thought about posting this thread SUB-FORUM under Solid State but changed my mind the last minute and posted it here under the EM bingo group....where I think it will fit right in.
Here is my general video of the 1988 "New Continental Golden" six card bingo or it could very well be a "Continental Magic Game". It might be that both games are really the same game,but not sure and hope we can gain more information about this. The reason for this posting is to gain some knowledge about these great machines and hopefully more people who own them come forth.
Let me start off by saying that Bally manufactured the first and last electronic bingo called "Continental" in 1980 when they decided to end their run of making bingo since 1951 with the first game called Bright lights, which was a six card game also. They made 1000 or was it 10,000 Continental's but sold them off to a company in Belgium called G.A.A. and the USA might have not seen many of them at all for sale.
I bought this NCG along with a spare NCG parts game that was missing the lower cabinet and nine Miss Bowling Turbo's (two card) electronic bingos from an operator in New Jersey around 20 years ago. This operator bought the electronic bingos overseas and had them customized and programmed for his route here in NJ. The NCG comes with a key pad for programming the microprocessor CPU board.
I know his tech was sent overseas to train and learn about these bingo machines too. I have customized manual for both games that I got when I purchased the games and the vendor's tech taught me what knowledge he had learn through the years about these games. It was really was general operation information and a few other tricks about what to expect when trouble-shooting etc.
This NCG is an outstanding bingo pinball machine and it has many more features than any EM bingo could ever imagine. I love the fact that it is very quite compared to the EM bingos and can be played at late hours in the night when the kids/wife are a sleep. The game has large payouts and some of the newer bingos made in the 1990's take Susan B Anthony dollar coins and of course might have be equipped with a bill acceptor too. A player can loose a tremendous amount money in a few hours depending on how much he is willing to gamble. Payouts range from one dollar to hundreds or thousand dollar wins or lost, especially with a player be able to gamble with the 15 times multiplier feature that the player can buy into at every start of any game. I am sure it one of the biggest money maker in the coin op industry if your operating them on route. They are still be manufactured today overseas by many company's and are on route too.
