I looked but think this has not been discussed here. How ever you pronounce your favorite carbonated beverage one of the three above machine or fountain show us a picture or even a restore project as I have seen Coke and Pepsi machines come up on TV shows. Heck my brother in-law collects Pepsi memorabilia which is harder than Coke. I know some are less seen RC, Dr. Pepper etc. Thanks and waiting for that first photo.

It was a hot mess when I got it.

I have never worked on one of these before but with Covid and nowhere to go I had some free time.

New fan shroud for the condenser and new fan motor and blade.

Compressor 3 in 1 starter. New wiring to a terminal block as I just couldn’t justify spending $100 for a wiring harness this simple.

New insulation in the cabinet. New LED light bar in the door.

New door edge molding to keep the cold in.

It didn’t even need a recharge after fixing all the wiring. Keeps everything nice and frosty!

Vendo H110 1956. Cosmetically unrestored, I like the patina.

Coke machine was restored. Someone went all out. The pepsi machine was from an old pepsi machine mechanic who passed. Stoner candy machine.

There was an episode of Pawn Stars where they bought of all things a BLUE Coke machine instead of red. I think it was worth more also. I like the old soda machines as I saw many of them as a kid. Do any of you find it hard to get bottles now compared to back then when they were everywhere?

Some I guess are regional and always wondered as I ran across this from a friend of mine a few years (sorry to say he has passed away since then).

Wife fell in love with this Pepsi VMC 81. Also picked up a Coke Coolerette. The stand is pretty rare I believe. But it goes well with the 4’ x 8’ Coke sign LOL!

Also old Pepsi machines I think are harder to find as many more Coke ones out there. I don't smoke but I have seen several cigarette machines for sell. I always remember the one in my uncles theater down in Marathon Florida when I visited.

Pepsi cooler came from a Huntington Beach liquor store from the 60s. The coke dispenser is a replica from 1973. Fairly rare, these would dispense a syrup that contained cocaine. Which is why the sides of dispenser describe the syrup as refreshing and invigorating on one side and delicious and exhilarating on the other. I wouldn't mind being invigorated this morning. The lines on the coke glasses show about an ounce of the syrup to be dispensed.

Water bath coke question. When I fill the unit, can I use tap water? I filled it 3 months ago with mostly distilled, but after 3 months, the water started to smell. Any ideas? Thanks.

Looked for a long time for a Mtn. Dew machine. After finding out they didn't actually make them back in the 60's, 70's etc...(they would send you decals and paint color to make your own), I found one in New York. Paid like $800 for it but I didn't care because it was what I wanted. I could buy Pepsi and Coke machines all day long for a couple of hundred but why be like everyone else? Plus I love the Dewwwwww.

Aww man, this thread brings back memories.... Gone but not forgotten, my old Dixie Narco. It finally gave up the ghost, but we had a good run. 770lbs of faux woodgrain goodness.

Looks like the one that is in the grocery store near my grandmother's place when I was young. You have to remember that was more than 50 years ago.

People tell me that the best machine here is my coke machine. They love the $2 beers.

Looks to be the same as the dew one above but with coke cards. I have some LED batten fixtures on the way to replace the burnt out fluro tubes.

OK I have to ask what's the Mystery soft drink flavor?

    #26 2 years ago

It's a lucky dip. There's Passiona (passionfruit lovleyness), Fanta, Ginger Beer, Mountain Dew etc all mixed up in there. It's for people who like surprises.

    #27 2 years ago

Know you got me hooked I always loved Fanta as a kid. We had a machine with Fanta grape in it in our lounge at high school where we used to play cards between classes. I remember those good memories of the many card games and having a Fanta grape.

    #28 2 years ago

Yeah, you were either an edgy out there Fanta kid or a regular cool guy Coke kid when i was younger.

You could tell who was who by their Yo-Yo's.

I was Fanta and still don't drink coke except for watering down bad bourbon or rum.

1980's coke "drink box" was made by a German company & were mostly used in coke execs offices. Said to be very efficient and cheap to use. Has no moving parts... not even a fan. I bought it at an estate auction last month for $350. Cleaned it up and it works 100%

Soda related... this is a cool 70's or 80's vintage track suit I got from the estate of a coke exec here in Atlanta in 2015. HI-C is/was owned by coke. The suit was NOS still in the package. I opened it to wear to a local pinball expo in 2016. It's been back in the package since then.

That's awesome I remember Hi-C and the almost rapper style ads they had for it I think.

You must have looked a treat dressed in that, nobody would have been cooler than you at that Expo!
