My home-grown Whoa Nellie Big Juicy Melons EM conversion of a 1957 Gottlieb Continental Cafe. Three EM versions currently exist---this one, collector Brad Grant's home-grown creation, and the one made by Whiz Bang Pinball. Whiz Bang also made two solid state versions. Stern recently announced its plan to make WNBJM. After getting my home-grown interpretation up and running, I was lucky to also acquire one of the undrilled Whoa Nellie playfield art boards, which I'll hang on the wall behind the Melony standee.

Quoted from Fulltilt:

GAWD how I love Big Juicy Melons.... sweet stuff!!

Here's a close-up of the playfield for all of the Melony lovers out there. Note the Greg Freres autograph on the apron card. Since taking these photos, I have extended the green chicken wire mesh over the backbox side banners to achieve a more finished appearance. Coincidentally, the game plays best with a strong pair of replay knockers.

Whizbang's Whoa Nellie color test board. A few color improvements were implemented between the first and second Whizbang playfield runs.

Most here will recognize this as Zombie Yeti's Alice In Wonderland art, from the infamous Zidware project. This is a limited line art print with a reflective silver foil finished (making it challenging to photograph).

Jeremy Packer (a/k/a Zombie Yeti) nailed this theme, in my opinion.
