Yep, found another one in the old shoe-box, it's a sheet with some notes about dimensions, color adjustments and todo's.
Also some pieces of paper to test for sizes and location on the apron.

A back glass by Dave Christensen for a never released pin, LaVie Parisienne, Bally, 1980. Actually, I don't think the pin ever even got made at all, let alone released. This game wasn't in IPDB until I submitted it.
Technically, I don't qualify for this thread as I sold it to a Dave Christensen collector out in Hollywood a few years ago.
Quoted from Classic_Stern:Here is 2 NOS Gamatron fields and the original first test print field from the initial test run....Yea more Gamatron stuff....Yea also pictured is a NOS Rolling Stones (New from crate) and a NOS Frontier. Not as rare as Gamatron but rare.

Also a Laser Ball playfield I see....
Quoted from MrBally:Also a Laser Ball playfield I see....
I have a NOS blank and a Wired NOS laser ball field. The wired is pretty frickin' cool. In the original Williams crate. Just have not had time to get the game running. Some dished inserts. What really needs to happen is the blank gets cleared and the stuff on the wired goes to the blank.
I was under the impression the proto GNR had a drop target in front of the 'add band member' hole...
Quoted from pinballsmith:Here's the second one I got after selling the first. It's not going anywhere. I was told recently that these were never meant to be owned by the general public.

I always thought it was cool how well the put the "wear on the machines".
Quoted from johnwartjr:I was under the impression the proto GNR had a drop target in front of the 'add band member' hole...
Nope, but there is a stand up target next to the Axl scoop with the extra "Time to Rock" insert just below it.
Quoted from Classic_Stern:I have enough stuff to make 2 more gamatrons with a NOS field, NOS plastics, NOS backglass and black star cabinet and 1 more with the test print playfield. Would love to have all 4 at the Texas Pinball festival sometime. Just need more time.
/jealous.

Dude, I thought the same thing when I saw the pics. Please! How does it play?

Those playfields' layout look almost identical to Flight 2000 , What's the story behind those ?
This is one of the most interesting and fascinating threads on pinside. Thanks to all that have (and will) contribute to it.

Quoted from Pdxmonkey:Looks like Tommy
Pdxmonkey is right. It is based off a Tommy. So it plays, well, like a Tommy. The very basics of the rules, sounds, and display were changed. The "Kabuki" code isn't very deep. As a matter of fact, once you get to a certain point in the game play, it turns back into a Tommy (Sounds, display, etc). The game was never intended to be anything deep or complex. It was built to lift the spirits of the chairman of NAMCO who was battling a very aggressive form of cancer. While not a complete game by any means, it served its intended purpose well, and is still fun to play.

There are two of them. The one built for chairman and one made after the fact ( by Herb Silvers ? ). The one made for the chairman is supposed to be a little more than the other.

From my understanding, the code for the 2 is exactly the same. The cabinet art, and plastic are are different as the one pictured is the one Herb built and he came up with the cab and plastic art on his own. The one you have access to, is that my old one or the chairman's?

I see it now, didn't recognize it without that airplane in the background.
Quoted from Nelly:The one you have access to, is that my old one or the chairman's?
Not mine, it was the chairman's.
Info I got was from the current owner.

That is neat! I'd love to get a copy of that for my Humpty Dumpty.

Oh Wow! I always figured the chairmans was still in Japan. Any chance you can get your friend to share some pictures of the chairman's version? I would love to see the differences as the only pictures I know of are of mine that I submitted to IPDB.
Quoted from trilogybeer:Those playfields' layout look almost identical to Flight 2000 , What's the story behind those ?
Gamatron ended up being a conversion kit in 1985 built by a company called "Pinstar" using a "Steve Kirk" design. Flight 2k came out in 1980 but if you look close at the whitewood it is obviously 1979 so my belief and I have some verbal and physical evidence is that "gamatron" the layout was actually the original layout Flight 2K was based on and the design ended up with Harry Williams name on it which today is known as Flight 2K. Gamatron has a true "Ball Walker"... Gamatron is a fun game and I am fortunate to have gotten the stuff when Steve Kirk had passed and they sold his storage unit. Friend of a friend is how I got it.

Steve Young could probably sell copies of that Humpty Dumpty letter for fifty bucks a pop. You can bet Bob Fesjian would be all over photocopy sales on fleabay.
The nice thing is that the fonts on the original seem to be common so anyone can type it up on Microsoft Word or whatever Apple calls their word processor.
Let the games begin....

That notice would be cool even with the Humpty Dumpty part removed. Framed and on the wall.
I also have a very nice BoP with a Diamond Plate playfield. Python autographed it last year before he passed away, and we'll miss you Python... And a perfectly restored Pharaoh, the playfield was repainted under a magnify glass then about 10 coats of clear coating on it....

My game was a very early sample, and the spiral insert, when shipped from the factory, said 'GUMBALL'. A tech was sent down to scrape the insert clean and place a 'SPIRAL' decal on it. However, after scraping off the old decal, the tech realized he forgot to bring the 'SPIRAL' with him. He explained to me he'll mail it to the store.
I never got it, so to this day my PF's been with a blank insert. When HEP restores the field soon, I'll have him leave it blank, for nostalgia.
Great thread. My contribition would be a Spanish version of Royal Flush made by Maresa that looks to be #5 prototype. The score motor, relays, score wheels are much different from Gottlieb. Backglass is a litle different, extra zero for all scores, coin door is totally different. PF is about the same except fot Spanish wording and extra 0 for scores. But the nice thing is that the PF graphics are printed on the bottom of an acrylic overlay, so the artwork doesn't get any wear, and also the game plays very fast due to the overlay. I brought it to Allentown a few years ago.

Excellent thread, some really interesting stuff!!
I've gravitated towards rare Spanish stuff for some reason... here are some backglasses I picked up recently that will make it to the gemesroom wall one day (after the gamesroom is built!!):

The lower the number the lower the number of score displays so you get more artwork... that's kinda how it works
Some close ups of some of these and some others, there's some great detail on 'Golf' that didn't come out well on the backlit overview shot...:

To show off the work of Steve Kirk and take the games to the shows. The parts I have give great reference to the kit and its different forms and history in pinball. So why not.?
