Thanks, thats awesome!! However it was my original intent for people to post there rare pinball STUFF and not the games but o'well.., it's been great either way and I hope they keep posting whatever it is they want to show off.
John

Playboy Pinball 2000 prototype

I am not sure how many whitewoods were really built but there are 36! playfield concepts.
Would be great to see more photos or videos from that game.

Just found this box of goodies while getting ready for the York Show! This is probably from 40 years ago when I used to work on those!

If you come across a nice lock down bar for the Hercules I'm your guy.
Thanks,

My carpenter brother-in-law made one for me many years ago. I had three Hercules at the time so he had a good rail to copy from. Turned out perfect. I'll see if he still has the jigs for it.

Quoted from Pinhead86:

Yes..they had a lot of interest. I offered triple asking price..that seemed to do the trick. What was extra interesting was they had a segaasa-sonic game too. Which is the company the rest of the pinstar stock went to in Spain.

Nice! Good score. I messaged the guy and he said that he had an offer for double and asked if I wanted to big higher? I’m in the process of restoring mine and I hit a wall so I figured spare parts or visual reference would be great.

One sold for $400 this summer in MN. I didn't think they were that rare, not sure what an actual value would be for that.

Not a current pic, and I can't remember If I posted this, but this is the proto tommy I picked up this summer.

If I can get the business to eventually break even and start making money the plan is to bring one machine from each set of boards I make to some of the bigger conventions.

Tommy Proto - Extra pop bumpers, real chime unit, different ramp setup, airplane ball eject, playfield coloring is different.

I have so much in the pipeline right now, as covid parts are found and as cashflow allows i have boardsets for most major pinball eras

This guy posted that POS on Pinside and got a deserved flaming for it. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-pinstar-gamatron

He’s a decent guy otherwise but Moto Bone sold his Sonic version for like 4k and Bruce had his sitting for 3k for a while. Gamatron is not worth that much and everyone once in a while a motivated buyer spends a crapton and then the shysters come out of the woodwork thinking their pile of parts is also worth 9k.

Gamatron is fun, however it’s more common than people think and you can get them cheap as hell if you’re patient

I have a couple rare ones in my collection....

Banzai run with xr-7 playfield. Pat lawlor said only 10 of these exist but I have to think there are more than that

Diamond plate pool sharks.... and while dp pool sharks isn’t super rare, the one I have has a low serial number, handwritten proto ROMS, and red boards underneath

I also have an AC/DC vault pro.... while it might not be thought of as ultra rare, I feel like only a couple hundred of these at best made it out the door without angry angus on it LOL

That is very interesting. Not asking what you paid, but can you say who/where you got it from? I got this backglass from a Chicago area Bally/Midway employee many years ago. The game was not in the ipdb at the time, and it was added because of the glass I got. It was not signed by Dave when I got it. Just wondering if it's the same glass. I sold it to some guy out in California. I can search my back email to find his name.

These are my two things that probably most fit the thread.

1. Huge 6x5’ pinball neon. As far as I know 1 of 1. It was made for Tilt Arcade in Concord Mills Mall in Concord, NC and hung in there until it closed.

2. Safecracker promotional item from Williams. I’ve never seen another one, but sure there are others out there.

One of last remaining printing proofs of the "magic eye" insert used on the center of the pinball backglass, Mystic (Bally, 1980). Above is the design sketch diagram used for development. The proof is signed by the artist, Kevin O'Connor, and model who provided the "eye", Margaret Hudson of Eight Ball Deluxe fame. James Loflin has another example when additional historical documentation was provided to IPDB regarding creation of the game.

The "magic eye" came in two variants, a flat image which was screened with the backglass and a more expensive recessed, attached 3D lighted version similar to an early hologram for roughly the first 100+ units. There are cabinet differences as well.

I remember something like this on EBay. It was super cool I almost bought it, but I don't have a Mystic, so it seemed odd to do so.

That's so cool, I want it! lol. The flat version of the backglass was actually just a sticker that they glued on. The glasses were all printed with the clear hole.

I own a standard production Bally Mystic backglass with a fully silkscreened "Magic Eye" that is not a decal insert from late 1980. They do exist, however I do not know how many were made.

This variant has been documented. There were crossovers between the early production and final standard production on this title, as Bally made changes to this backglass order.
