Question:
Does powder-coating metal make a game less in value, or add to? I'd think add to, to anyone from the pinball community - but what about Joe Ordinary if I try to sell mine to the general non-pin public? Or wouldn't he mind that it doesn't have the 'shiny stock' metal it came with, when it left the factory?
I'm asking, because I just found out I have a professional powder and liquid-coat source who just told me he would do 2 sets of legs for me at no charge, just because he's a 'nice guy' who he understand my interest in the hobby. I have 2 games I'd love to get done - 1 is FT with ugly Stern black legs that I think needs some hot-looking orange to match cab, and the 2nd is an F-14 that has beat-up rusted black WMS legs and I think it needs sweetened-up red legs to match all that red on the cab.
Considering this is no-cost offer to do this that I just heard of, shouldn't I just go for it, and not even think about my initial question??
Thanks for any thoughts!
