I have all of my games powdercoated. The shop strips it done to bare metal , then chemical clean ,then put on a silver base coat , then spray on the powdercoat, then it baked in an oven. They can spray on the powdercoat thin or thick. The thicker the coat , the darker or deeper the color comes out. The going rate in my neck of the woods is a little under 200 bucks . The siderails , lockbar , hinges, 4 legs and the shooter housing.

Thats crazy, you can order a pound of colored powder for 17 bucks plus 10 bucks in shipping. Have it mailed to your house and supply your own powder. Prismapowders is the way to go. Pick a candy or illusion color , you cant go wrong.

Of course, red is the goto color. The black SM comes with chrome trim. Show some blue SM. I have seen it and it looks good.

Very nice, did you go with a metallic flake in the PC ? There is so much red in SM, the blue is a nice contrast. Good choice. I like your custom shooter, mad props to that guy who made it.

Stern certainly makes you pay more for powdercoat and you don't have a choice of color. That stuff isn't free and it takes a lot of effort just to get it done. If you dont like the color someone used....move on. Generally speaking , the people that take the time and effort to PC their machine, know what color to PC it. It is normally spot on with the obvious color choice ( red for IM ). What other color would you possibly PC SM, other than red or blue...come on really ?

Goto prismatic powders, pick out an illusion color (1 lb.) , use silver flake underneath it, bring in all your parts (including the shooter housing) , takes about a week and 200 bucks....done !
