No fan of that green on the pro. Also no fan of the white from pinball refinery. I would really like to see one with purple/dark blue or something that matches the side decals.

#399 7 years ago

for some reason the green with the slimed details on the LE seems to work, but on the pro and premium it is more a purple/blue. But maybe if you use the same color as stern does it will work...

Quoted from Astropin:

My IJ done in Bronze Metallic (really doesn't show in the pics):

Did you also do the condor and gun handle, it is hard to see. Could the gun handle be done with powder coat?

Quoted from markmon:

Coin door, legs and shooter housing look darker due to overcast lighting but it's the same as the lockdown and rails. Very nice multi stage glossy purple. So shiny it shows fingerprints like chrome.

I think that is the best combination! IMHO better than the slimmer green. Beautiful machine

Quoted from rotordave:

Cool Paul! But they are a little past my mod tolerance threshold.
I keep most of them pretty stock. I've powdercoated about a dozen pins I guess.
Ironman - ruby red
Spiderman - red
AFM - gloss black
No Fear - gloss black
Indiana Jones - brass legs and habitrails
WCS - purple legs to match the purple in the cabinet color
Congo - gloss black
CFTBL - gloss black
TOTAN - gold antiqued legs
TOM - gold passifated legs
Bugs Bunny - gloss white legs
Getaway - gloss black
Lots of my Williams machines have gloss black legs to match the cabs. It's a good way to recycle all the crappy rusty legs too. We blast them and powdercoat them and reuse them. When you live in NZ you can't just get new legs from Pinball Life for $40 a set ... It costs like $200 to buy them and freight them. It costs me $60 a set to blast them and powdercoat them so that's a winner.

Can you show your spiderman and CFTBL. I have those and wondering if I would do Spidey red or blue, CFTBL black or Chrome.

Seeing all those lovely machines makes me want to also get one of my machines done. Just wondering, is a metallic powder coat possible? Can you get any color?

I asked for powder coating options in my neighborhood. I got this company who can do it only just all RAL colors. I see also examples of metallic side rails, are those powder coated or spray painted? Like the Star Trek above? Or are there RAL colors that are metallic?

#643 7 years ago
Quoted from MikeO:

RAL colors are not metallic. RAL is a standard of paint colors for commercial and industrial uses mostly.
Ask if they will paint if you provide the paint. Then find and buy the paint you want on line and bring it with the parts.

Ok, but can that be powder coated? Like can I bring any car color and they can powder oat that or is that just spray painted?

That is truly a dream collection - some time, effort and money has been put into these beautiful machines. With some unique pieces.

once saw a WH2O with yellow powdercoat. I think chrome is the best way to go for this machine.

here it is.
