Quoted from MustangPaul:What do you guys think of this color on a GB Pro? All armor, legs and LE style apron.

Man, I think that would look awesome!
Quoted from Stones:Man, I think that would look awesome!
I know the colors on the cab are mostly blue an the sides but there a 2 large areas of red on the front. I'm even thinking of doing a 2 color leg light up for the Pro, blue where the blue is on the cab front and red where the red is. If it works there would be a small area of the plastic protector between the 2 that would be a slight purple.

I've seen that color (illusion berry) and honestly I think it's too dark (it's much darker in person and it takes a lot of light to bring out that metal flake) ...my bud is getting a premium and I think we are going to do illusion violet on it..it's the same color I used on my CV...but the great thing is that there is no wrong choice as long as you like it!

Thanks that's kind of like I was thinking from looking at the 2 ends, my game room is dark so that's good to hear from someone that's seen it.
I still think red powder like on acdc would look sick on ghostbusters. It matches the crossed out ghost.

Well I found these 2 reds, they would match the sky of the new blades pretty good.

Both have a pink lighted hue.

Where can you get an LE style apron for Spike games?
Quoted from chuckwurt:Where can you get an LE style apron for Spike games?
I found one after a long search, really kind of dumb luck actually. I'll have to wait till I get the game to see if it will fit.

Gotcha. Would love to upgrade my GOT Pro apron.

Yes they are actually under the pink color wheel on their web site but the candy raspberry looks like it matches the sky good of the pinblades.....from what I can tell from pictures that is.

Don't be so quick to give in just yet!!! They can send you samples to see the color beforehand. Always, always request samples before ordering.

Well once I saw the GB blades and the color of the sky on them I think the Candy Raspberry with a silver metallic base would actually look better, much brighter for my dark black light gameroom.

Bud here
Looking forward to ULM's color selection skills
I just got my parts back for STTNG and they (mostly) look great. One of the legs was light, so they're going to re-coat it for me. And the hinge on the coin door was terrible. Does anyone have any tips/tricks to the coin door hinge that I could pass on to them? They're going to try to make it right for me, but it would be great if I could give them some info on how best to do it.

There is a trick to hinges and it involves taking the hinge off the door and high heat tape. I highly doubt they are going to do that for you as it takes me 10-15 minutes to set that up.
Who can you all recommend for high quality control, dust free work environment powder coating folks? Mike Chestnut was mentioned by someone a while back to me. I have had intermittent luck to date, and looking for better, more consistent service. Any chance one of you has his contact info, or other with a dust free facility?

I don't know that Mike does powder, might be just plating. (Of course, his 'just' plating is OMFG plating.) http://horsepowerunlimited.net/
I've had all of my powder work done by Espo's in Staten Island. I'd also recommend Matt at Back Alley.
Quoted from sohchx:So there's no physical website for him, just a main page? I can't go any farther than that.
For Mike Chestnut? Just send him an email.
Quoted from stateworker37764:Here is my 1989 Bally's Mousin Around done in yellow.
That thing looks great with the yellow! I didn't really like the look of MA, but I'd definitely display yours. Great job.
Yeah that really lights up....to make it light up MORE put my green Leg Light-Ups, beatmasters green shooter housing light up and a PBL green shooter knob on her.
Quoted from twenty84:I put some custom textured purple over silver artery powder coat on my Metallica. It is hard to get a feel for how it looks in the big picture, so I added a detail shot.

Beautiful. My blue leg light-ups would look GREAT on that. You going to the GB Party Sat.? All 4 of the GB pins will have my mod on them and I'm giving one set away as a prize.
Quoted from markmon:Here are a couple of mine
How did you paint the edges of the backbox on the MB? I mean, is there some molding that was used (if so, which) or did you paint directly on the backbox? Thanks for any info!

I've had metal strips cut and powder coated and also gotten paint that color matches and painted the wood directly.
Quoted from Stretch7:Here is my pink panther.......I went a little to dark on the pink but when I get some custom decals for cab I'll have colors to tie it all in.
I think that looks awesome, maybe one of the best yet!
Really sad to read all of these replies about Mike Chestnut less than 2 weeks ago. Who would have known he would have passed only a short while later without any kind of warning. R.I.P.
(I do feel like on a lot of these I'd leave the coin doors their original colors, though. I think that Pink Panther really made the coin door work well with it, but some of them I think could do better without it. All personal preference, though! Silver coin doors would probably do better staying than black anyways, so if the game has a black door originally perhaps doing it as well isn't so bad.)
Iron Man and The Getaway look awesome with the coin doors powdered coated, but I hear what your saying.......crap just realized I should go back through this thread and link machines

Holy crap! Where did you get that done for 100.00 bucks??????????
