Quoted from Bos98:My BSD done by Rob Stone. Game is for sale in the marketplace. Legs have never been installed.
That’s one very nice BSD.
Unable to decide on a color for Whirlwind, I went with basic black. Thanks to Pinballer22 for helping with the decals!

Always a safe choice! Looks Great!
Has anyone powder coated a Safecracker? It's one of my last contemporary games untreated and it's feeling left out. I need ideas on colors. I do black for so many things, I'd like to do something else, but I usually feel even though colors look good on Stern era games, for some reason I tend not to like them on W/B era stuff. Not sure why, but I'd like to see anything someone has done with this title.
Nice! How hard is it to do the vertical side strips on the back box? Do you have to replace them or can you pull them off and put them back on? What color red is that? Looks great!

Thanks. The t-molding removes and installs easily and is reusable. I bought mine on eBay and it comes in various colors. For example:
ebay.com link: 20ft of 3 4 Red T molding for Arcade Games or Mame Machines
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:My Sopranos BEFORE and AFTER powder coating:
Oh man that red looks great. You know what would look good on those red legs don't you.

That looks great. That red is a damn nice colour.

I'm thinkin' a MustangPaul "Volcano" would look cool in the PinGulp! The problem is if I do one game, the other 11 will end up having one too. Cha ching!
Quoted from Micky:That looks great. That red is a damn nice colour.
Thanks - that's "Vampire Red" from Prismatic Powders for anyone interested. It's actually a titch darker than it looks in the game cabinet photos.

That's one.
Quoted from Da-Shaker:I finally got my LOTR back together. I wanted to go with something different, and picked Transparent Copper.
Nice. You should grab gold leg protectors from PBL. I have them on my Frank.

Nah....my leg Light-Ups look better. Amber would look great.
Quoted from Da-Shaker:using the T-molding Tuna suggested. I didn't know that was available. Does it just pull out or slide?
Just pulls off.
Quoted from Da-Shaker:Thanks. Those leg lights do look sharp!
Thanks, some have put them on all 4 legs.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Nah....my leg Light-Ups look better. Amber would look great.
It looks especially good given that you have one of my keychains on there.
If your key sits in the horizontal position when locked, you should get rid of all the other rings and just leave the small one I included. Then they don't hang so low.
Quoted from mmuglia:I just scrolled through 28 pages and not one BDK. Has anyone powder coated a Batman?
I did one in chrome years ago. I’d take a pic but I sold it.

You must have missed my post than.
Quoted from mrossman5:That purple looks great man!
I wanted a starry night kind of look.
Pics don't do the color justice.
Quoted from Meegis:You must have missed my post than.
I did miss that...sorry. Looks nice. I really like the blue sparkle on the tron below your post. That would probably look great on BDK too.
Bryan - Although it would look amazing, I don’t think I could do chrome. The constant fingerprints would drive me crazy!

oh but the chrome "feels" soooooooo good.

Both of those are the same application with different colors. They actually sit side by side in my lineup tight now.
How close is the blue on Tron to the cabinet artwork on BDK?

I'll see if I can get a pic for you... I'll take the lock bar off and hold it next to tdk
i have the Orange trim, it came with the game, and i'd probably change it to blue or chrome to be honest. But that'd mean taking TRON out of action, and i struggle with that.
The colours are also the wrong way around on that photo. Should be yellow/baddies left, blue/goodies right, like the translite and playfield.

Good point....
Quoted from Tuna_Delight:Yeah ... no. I'm not a big fan of orange trim on TRON to begin with. Just my personal preference though.
The cabinet is predominantly blue .. so blue would look better IMO. Like the Star Trek Pro I did that is posted earlier in the thread.
The other option would be to get the parts chromed, because we know how cool a Tron LE looks.
If you can find the right guy, the chrome should be around the same price as the powdercoat.

Got the powder coated legs back today, and was finally able to erect this beast (that’s what she said ). Chuck at Bonehead Performance kicks ass...two day turnaround on the legs.
Also rewired the game over hologram.
Any thoughts on powder coating the metal panel under the joystick controllers? I might do the coin door in white also.
