Quoted from acaciolo:

1st pic is tony K. playing the ND machine in my garage (he comes in for my halloween bash, but that is a topic for another thread) and the 2nd is me and my newly discovered bald spot in the black hoodie backstage before No Doubt's show at Riot Fest in Chicago. Tony K. is 2 people to the left of me with his head tilted back. Gwen S. is straight across.

That is awesome! Thanks for sharing man!

Quoted from rotordave:

I haven't seen one I liked, to be honest.
Someone here did one in green, I didn't like the look of that personally, but each to their own.
I did my one in chrome and that looked pretty sweet IMO. I powdercoated the "rod" in a Gunmetal/bronze type colour. These are the only pics I have on my phone, but you get the idea.
rd

I am becoming more and more of a fan of the Chrome. I'm thinking that is what I'm going to do with my Dirty Harry, chrome out the armor, legs, and gun handle.....

Quoted from ATLpb:

I'm pretty sure, somehow, Batman is gonna put the rest to shame when it's done.

I don't know about that...love the color choices on your IM also, especially the coin door.

#854 7 years ago
Quoted from rotordave:

Here are some pictures of the green Fishtales (not mine ...)
rd

I'm not a fan of the green at all. Dont mind the idea of a burnt orange/red though. Might have to go chrome.

#855 7 years ago

I never would have expected this would hold up. That's really cool.... and if you don't like the color you can swap it out.
Those legs you did looked EXCELLENT!

Awesome line up and very nice games! Love the No Doubt pin, and your WH20 looks fantastic.

I chromed out my wh2o and it looks great with fresh decals and new chrome.

Thanks man!

That material was easy to work with when you got it right. Too much heat and it melted though! Just a question of having some patience, taking your time and it comes up good.

The material is made for cars, so it'll stand up to way more abuse than any pinballers can give it.

I think that whole carbon fibre Corvette machine job cost me like $10 worth of fake carbon fibre material. So it's cost effective.

Teardown has begun, 4 games will be posted with new colors in a few weeks.

2 on the ground so far, 2 more to rip down later

What's the consensus on also doing the chrome on the coin door when adding chrome to a WH2O? I've got one over at HEP and need to make a call on this soon. Thanks for the opinions.

#861 7 years ago

Curious to see what colour you do the bdk in
I did have a colour picked and be neat to see what you come up with

To answer in a douchebag way.... Colours to be shown on completion.

But to give a little clue, I'm going against all the typical choices for my games.

Met will NOT be purple.
Iron Man will NOT be red.

The other two I haven't seen many coloured, so can't say what's typical.

Not douchey at all. Let's see what they look like when they're done.

Powder coated coin doors are sometimes a little too much, but I think a chrome coin door on WH2O would look great. Also, someone is doing the work for you, so that is a second reason to do it!

+1 vote for chrome. I have on a cpl of my chrome games, really completes the look imo. Get the shooter housing too.

I think it was well worth it. Expensive, but the chrome door really pops.

Aw man... that sucks... sorry about that.

You turn your back for 60 seconds and someone jacks up your pinball machines and steals the legs. Rotten kids!!

#869 7 years ago

To me, this just isnt right.....red or black should be the only 2 options....

Love that white armour! Some blue leg bolts and levellers would finish it off nicely but already beautiful

#873 7 years ago

Gorgeous Cowboys pin. Terry and Marco both sell blue coin reject buttons to replace the red stock. Cheap, 5-10 minutes of 3/16" nut driver work. Recommended for your baby.

Does anyone have some great color ideas that have been done for TSSP?

Sell pins to finish basement?

Keep pins, basement is fine...

May I borrow some moneys

Or borrow some labor?

#880 7 years ago

Did green t-molding on the side of the backbox on my met promium, honorary refinery edition. I think it looks fantastic. I tried orange first and it was no bueno. I also did black for the horizontal. All in all a huge improvement over the misplaced stock chrome molding imo...

Are those just mounted on top or behind some sort of lens?

As others said, I think WH2O with a chrome coin door would be awesome...see the one back a page or two. It beyond pops.

I really want to say nice job on the first pin, but just can't do it. I think it would look great if you scratch the cab artwork and replace the translite with this...

Quoted from StrangeSubset1:

No T-molding.com has frosted molding that has a pocket inside that a non waterproof led strip slides into. The barb on the back of it is wider then on regular molding so I had to use a wide flat blade screw driver to make the groove in the bb wider to make the new molding fit by just pressing in in. I originally made the groove a little wider so it could be tapped in with a rubber mallet but that broke some of the wires in the rgb strip which caused a few 3 led segments not to light up certain colors. I had to get a new strip, insert it into the T molding and make the groove wider so I could just press it back in.

The colors look amazing on both machines, but I'd dump those plastic leg protectors if I were you.

Really, really nice looking games though.

Here's mine to give you an idea. Realy finished the full resto off well.
