    Thanks

I can and do, but these were all made by a buddy that specializes in solid work. I do mostly tube work.

I did some in college but never got the hang of it. Very mesmerizing to work with.

How are people mounting the pinballs? Especially where they are on a vertical plane.

My wife pressured me to make a trophy last minute. Pretty crappy but everyone loved it. Made some medals too.

hot glue, I was Martha's bunky in the clink.

I like the trophies that use old machine parts. All of them are pretty cool though.

Here is my favorite trophy I have won in a pinball tournament. It was at cactus jacks and they have some fucking rad people that make awesome one of a kind trophies. Each one is molded from a hand sculpted original and then painted by hand!

You should find someplace to put a light in those trophies and make them floor lamps.

holy crap. Did people have to use a dolly to load them in the car? I take it nobody was taking a plane home.

That could work. They also made excellent little cocktail tables

Ha, no, I designed them to be easy to break down. The balls on top are not glued so they lift right off and the support tubes are just pressed into the stand so they can be pulled out with little effort. Three parts total for easy transport, stand, tube, and ball.

    #75 8 years ago

that's pretty awesome. I don't know where anyone could put that. It's not like it fits on a shelf. maybe the back yard as a garden trophy?

    #76 8 years ago

Not pinball. But if you love pinball you'll love Ringer. I won this in a Ringer tournament. Made from a whisky bottle, Gottlieb plastic wire bracket and trophy topper.

My local operator friend made these for the league we just completed, and I think they're pretty awesome. Too bad I didn't win one...

Please do hit me up if you're in or around Charleston

Some very cool trophies in this thread. I've always been proud of these trophies we (with the skills of matt r.) made up for a league.

I like that its for each year and the person who takes it for the corresponding year has all the prior winners names on it...neat.

    #90 8 years ago

That is the plan...working out so far.

    #91 8 years ago

One of my friends made this for our tournaments. Each winner signs it with sharpie. It has flashing lights salvaged from a gift card with flashing led.

Well the last one I made (ref previous post) was passed around like the Stanley Cup anytime I hosted a work tournament. I've since left that company so that trophy stayed behind.

I'm hosting the first tournament with my new company this weekend, so had to put together a new one! Luckily I still had enough trophy (and pinball) scraps to put this together:

Trophy I made for our last league session.

Also made these magnets for the last two knockouts. Got my laser cutter up and running. Still ironing out the bugs but looks like it's going to make great trophies.

Nice! The struggle is real when it comes to trophies in private leagues. Gotta leave some cash for awards, not raise entry fees too much, and still produce something better than a participation trophy you buy on amazon.

    #97 4 years ago

I made three versions of these for a party back in January

So many cool trophies in this thread!

I made this one for a critical hit tournament we had a few months ago. I will probably never do one again because this took FOREVER

3D modeled and printed the base, medal, and some other internal stuff to hold the battery and switch. The base has two leds in it and an led in the center of the medals gem courtesy of Comet

Added some iron powder and then rusted it up a bit too.

I make these for our pinball tournaments. Takes a bit of time on the 3d printer, but they are well recieved.
