What do you guys think? WCS is a great game, but I just don't play it at all anymore so it needs a new home. I was offered a nice Monopoly for it. Mono is decent, but I feel like it may end up just like WCS and not get played except by guests. Should I go for it?

Quoted from Whysnow:

you have a pretty diverse collection/tastes.
I would say just sell the WCS and go buy something else. Based on your wishlist...
I vote Radical, Skateball, Dude, or Vette.
That said, Monopoly is on your list also and it is a decent game. I dont think it has lasting power and WCS is slightly better, but I would not have either long term.
Nothing wrong with cycling a game just to try it out. Pricewise that seems like a fair trade.

Yeah, Rad, Skate,Dude, and Vette aren't at the top of my want list though and aren't worth to me what the going prices are for any of them right now. Instead of Vette I'm thinking that Mustang would be a better choice being that it's similar but newer.

Go for it. If you decide you hate Monopoly, contact me, and maybe I'll trade you back my WCS!

I'll keep that in mind!!

I owned wcs94 and played it to death. I sold it some time ago after having it a few years. I would trade that game for any comparable pin EXCEPT monopoly. I could never get into that pin. I wouldn't take a free monopoly to avoid the effort of moving it. Monopoly scares pets and the elderly. Monopoly is my lowest ranked pin. I have more fun at the dentist than playing Monotony. Monopoly is the Jar Jar Binks of the pinball world. Don't make eye contact with it.

LMAO

Well, this turned out exactly as I expected, pretty much no's all around and I feel like I agree now. Even the wife is saying that I shouldn't do the trade, surprising coming from a female but she has actually played it more than I have and doesn't really care for it. Her opinion is go for Met pro, ST pro, Mustang, or another Nascar. I do have a buyer for my WCS lined up so that's a plus, then I won't have to trade at all.

Thanks for the advice fella's!!!

Mustang is FUN AS HECK! IT's actually probably the best music pin available since you can swap out all the songs and the theme isn't linked to a single band like Met, AC/DC and Aerosmith.

Music pin? I haven't experienced this being that when I've played the game it has always been in a super noisy environment. How do you swap out songs and is that option available on any other Stern pins? Sounds pretty neat.

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

no, swap it for WPT or a good game.

Coincidentally the wife mentioned that game last night. She is an avid card game player so it's right up her alley, I on the other hand am not a card player so I would be lost trying to figure how to play it. Cards is her thing, Cars is mine.

I listed those 4 since you should be able to trade or sell and buy for the value of WCS. All 4 are way better than WCS.
Mustang is a good choice at 3800ish (seen quite a few at that or lower) but not any higher. Vette is a better deal even at 3k.
There is a cool story about how corvette was supposed to be a wide body and late in the design process things were changed into a standard body. You can see how they acturlaly just squished it all together and the only thing they lost was a 3 bank of drops becoming a 3 bank of standups. Vette is SUPER packed with great shots and toys. I honestly think it is a sleeper even at the 3k range they sell for now and would guess it to continue up.
Great multi, great toys, awesome 3rd flipper on the left with the jackpot and super jackpot, great combos and flow, a real kick back and physical lock mech, some good cheese factor, and a solid theme.
The ruleset is really fun to have all the modes and collecting cars with a fun final mode surprise also.
It is a really well put together game with lots going on.
For the shooter it also allows you to work on loop passed and drop passes on both flippers.

Wait, you're saying that you think Vette is better than Mustang? I'd have to respectfully disagree there. To me the game is worth 2500 max. I do love the shaking motor and drag strip lol

You can swap out all the songs and song clips using Pinball Browser. I found a video I took on Facebook Live early in July. I've tweaked it a little since then since I forgot a few minor clips to replace. But I love being able to change up the soundtrack and I do the same on Metallica, but I stick with their songs. On Mustang you can add any music you enjoy - driving music is perfect for the game. You're welcome to come over and play it too so you can rule it in or out.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?? That's awesome!! I never knew that could be done with Metallica and I would definitely put it to use because the default songs do get stale after awhile.
