I’m pretty mixed on this topic but went through something similar last year.
I sold AC/DC to help fund my GNRLE as I had a JP PREM on order at the time. GNR is next level and smokes AC/DC out of the water (no pun reference to deep purple intended). Don’t regret that decision one bit.
I got JP and GNR NIB within weeks of each other. JP has since left. And all that I miss (or regret) about selling JP is the hole its left in the lineup (working on filling that spot in the near future). Otherwise, GNR has filled that void very well and I enjoy it much more than JP as far as lastability.
JP is an amazing game. Another Keith Elwin classic; the premium is the way to go IMO because the T-Rex adds so much next level code when you get deep into modes. Otherwise, it’s a fairly linear game and you really need to be a good player to appreciate how deep it can get. So since you’re giving up the pro on both versions, I’d easily make that trade any day of the week, granted you’re getting some cash your way possibly ($500-1000~)?
That all said, and why I’m mixed, is owning a JJP game isn’t for everybody. Stern games, especially pros, are built to play with very little maintenance or downtime. JJP games are harder to work on and much more finicky, i.e. require more attention. And it’s so packed with cool stuff, there’s more that can break. Dialing in shots, pitch, etc… to get it playing the way I like it (pinball OCD) has certainly been a challenge as well. But overall, I still love the game A LOT and would much rather have it over those 2 stern pros (AC/DC and JP).
