    Hi,

I was looking round on a local internet auction site and found a guy who custom makes his own cards and prints them at high quality. I like them, they look nice but I like my machine original too..

The cards are $25 NZD with free shipping (at time of posting equals $18.28 USD) a bit 'pricey' but the machine is worth around $3K NZD when sold on the same site so what is another $25?

Like I say they look nice but I have the originals in my machine (slightly yellowed with time and one has what looks like a small stain caused by liquid) but still in reasonable condition and now I'm not sure which to choose.

If I get the new ones of course I would keep the old ones if I ever want to change back...

What are your thoughts on this?

I do like adding a small text at the bottom, pointing to Pinside.com

Funny! I wish I had known this before I started the poll, I would have made it an option!

3000 for a fishtales! Ouch, I thought prices in Canada were bad!! Mines super nice and it was only about half that..

Shocking eh? There is only one decent internet auction site here that lists them and only one major importer of machines (that I'm aware of). With so little competition people can pretty much charge what they like... Mines in good condition except the artwork on the sides and front is sun faded.

P.s Always wanted to go to Canada, I used to play ice hockey until my knees became so bad I had to stop. I also once got a chance to play against the Canadian Moose, who were described to us as the hockey version of the Harlem Globetrotters. Mostly ex pros and guys in reserve teams for the NHL. I probably don't need to mention they beat the snot out of us!

Thanks for the links. There are some great cards there, unfortunately I didn't like any of the ones for my machine. One of the card sets I particularly liked was Pinzach's The Simpsons cards (Bart is writing it all on a blackboard, like in the opening of the show).

After having a look at the cards available for my machine I now completely understand Robin's earlier quote.

I think most custom cards are just too busy

I'll keep looking (not so keen on $25 now...) or maybe even attempt make my own.

    Thanks again!
