Capersville
Bally, 1966Just got a 1966 Capersville in good shape, want to strip playfield and cover completely in mylar to protect board from future damage, any thoughts about doing this ? only been doing pinball restoration a year, but want to play and have this one to last but want to do what's right.

If you truly want it “done right.” You would probably want to strip it and have it properly clear coated with an automotive 2PAC.
If I were in your shoes, I’d probably just do a proper clean down and keep it waxed. In a home environment, that’s really all the protection it will need.
thanks for info mbaumie, looked up 2pac and said they have clearcoat in a spray can now ,has anyone used this and does it damage boards ?

I’d leave it alone or take it to someone who’s done it before. But honestly I would leave it original
