Just got a 1966 Capersville in good shape, want to strip playfield and cover completely in mylar to protect board from future damage, any thoughts about doing this ? only been doing pinball restoration a year, but want to play and have this one to last but want to do what's right.

I wouldn’t.

If you truly want it “done right.” You would probably want to strip it and have it properly clear coated with an automotive 2PAC.

If I were in your shoes, I’d probably just do a proper clean down and keep it waxed. In a home environment, that’s really all the protection it will need.

Keep in mind that you'll still need all the same safety equipment even when it's coming from a can.

I’d leave it alone or take it to someone who’s done it before. But honestly I would leave it original

Leave it alone. Clean it and wax it and you’ll be good. As stated above- you won’t see enough use at home to warrant it.
