I did the same. Was so impressed with Metallica I said I want the best version and it's a fantastic upgrade. Changed to Newton and it's really a top game. Love the hammer smash vs the weak soft lock and the light show, spinners. Nice compliment to gb prem

I'm not sure why this would stop anyone from getting a premium. I also don't have it happen very often (maybe once in awhile) but to think that would stop a would be purchaser from taking what has to be the lamest thing in pinball ("soft lock") and not replace it with a hammer smashing it THROUGH the table is insane.
I completely agree that the MET pro is an absolutely fantastic choice as it offers a lot but it is no MET prem.

just curious - what is the "refinery" version? I think I actually have it on mine (bought from 1st owner) but wanted to confirm. It has lights underneath, speakers, lightning rods, etc but ot sure that makes it refinery version.
