Funny , I played other premiums that people told me the same thing..... magnet would grab ball only about 75 % of the time or less.

Interesting I have played several machines and that's not my experience

Must differ from the video I posted . Many say the exact same thing. You must have gotten the exception .

And another example.

I glad your happy with the pro it's good game no doubt - I'm loving the premium and the hammer adds allot to the game for me, like I said not an issue I experienced - in addition the sound when you hit / break the snake jaw is great! Love the changing light colors / spinners / rising cross / lit apron - but yea both games are fun and I guess we will have to leave it at personal preference - have fun with your game

Man you're amassing quite a collection. Do you buy like a game a month, or am I thinking of someone else? Either way congrats on scoring one of the best games ever made.

I'm not sure why this would stop anyone from getting a premium. I also don't have it happen very often (maybe once in awhile) but to think that would stop a would be purchaser from taking what has to be the lamest thing in pinball ("soft lock") and not replace it with a hammer smashing it THROUGH the table is insane.

I completely agree that the MET pro is an absolutely fantastic choice as it offers a lot but it is no MET prem.

I said it once and I'll say it again....... Go with the PRO. I had a MOPLe and no matter what anyone tells you the magnet does not grab the ball all the time.

My Premium's coffin magnet definitely does NOT grab the ball 100% of the time. But that's okay for me as it's just part of the challenge of locking a ball. Just like shooting the snake shot; you have to hit it right.

The payoff of seeing and hearing the hammer slam down on the ball and drive it into the coffin below is that much more of a sweet reward. LOVE it!

Thank you, at least someone agrees Im not crazy. But to me it was a PITA when having a great game. Also with all the issues of magnet boards going bad , was reason enough to make me switch.

LE or Premium all the way. I got the LE and yes, I had to swap out the magnet board, that took about 10 minutes. Mine grabs the ball 95% of the time, but having spinners, the hammer, the cross rising from the playfield, the color changing leds and incredible light show - worth every penny.

Well I did it....I took the jump and ordered my Met Pro. I am beyond excited to get it. Thank You Melissa and Steve for all of your help.

Congrats. I actually sold my STTNG to partially fund my PR MET Pro, and I've never looked back. STTNG is a great pin, but it was a real problem to maintain for me. You made the right call.

Congrats to you too Wackybrakke. Keep spreading that Metallica love

Can't go wrong with either met version. I have a pro with the creeping death blades and lightning rods. It's frickin awesome. I played the premium at pinburgh and while yes, it is the feature table, I'm glad I saved $1500-2000 and went with the pro. I like the extras, but not enough and I don't miss them on my pro at all. Again, either one will be awesome.

It's going to be here in the morning. I ordered it from Cointaker as it was the best price and Melissa is great to deal with. Due to my crazy work schedule and the turn around time from Pinball Refinery I decided to just call Steve and order all the parts needed to make it just like the ones he puts out. So I will get a week or so of playtime on it as stock then get to lift the hood and tinker then see just what this baby can do.

just curious - what is the "refinery" version? I think I actually have it on mine (bought from 1st owner) but wanted to confirm. It has lights underneath, speakers, lightning rods, etc but ot sure that makes it refinery version.
