    Hello Pinside!

First I just want to say thank you for all the info and knowledge that is stored in this site. Hugely helpful to me so far!

    My story:
    Male
    Mid-Late 20's
    Auto-Engineer
    Royal Oak, MI

I have always loved pinball since i was playing my uncles "Comet" all those years ago. I and my roommate have wanted a pin for some time (now that i can afford it) so I contacted a shop around us and commissioned a '92 Data East Star Wars Pinball to be shopped. It It came to me a month or so ago in good condition (3-pins gave their lives for it btw). Since then I have been tweaking it and working it over to be more what I would consider a great pin.

Since receiving it I have done a number of things:
    -Full ablaze LED
    -Blue Flashers
-Color Changers under the lightsaber clash/ R2-D2 spot lights/ Under the a wing and snow speeder
    -Purple Death Star
    -New "Mirror" Balls
    -Yellow PinCab Protectors
    -New Flippers
-Proper flipper (W with Black rubber)

I love it to death and wanted to say thank you for the wealth of info I have all ready learned from you all.

Welcome to our shared addiction. You will find no help with a cure here my friend, only people who want to drag you further in with them. Sorry suckers... . Now get busy and post more pics! I want to see a better playfield shot and a good shot of the cab from the front. <whipcrack> One day I will have a Star Wars pin and share the joy with you. Oh yeah, get yourself a DMD glare guard, you will really like it for the price.

    Thanks!

I have been scouting for my second pin for some time and i think the phrase "go big or go home" comes to mind. >

I have cash in hand for a CV in almost any condition... That is my dream pin and you could hardly tare me away from it at the MI Pinball Expo this past weekend. My Precious.....

I am scouting one out and now its just a matter of how much my bank account is going to dent.

Pinball, god damn is it addictive!

Patience on this one will save you a couple of grand maybe. They come up for sale more often than you would think. With that being said...I love to hate the Ringmaster

You'll probably want some Cliffy protectors:

I picked up a DE Star Wars last December. Fun game!

So enough with the good. On to the bad...

It is still being worked on. I have been changing things out as I understand how they work lol.

Rommy - i added new photos to my album of the cab. Its been touched up but could use a good clear coat.

Also i added some photos of the worn holes (getting some protectors soon) and miss matched pop bumpers ( 3 are wrong 1 is right). I am also changing out the xwing targets to flat square yellows (i know they are not the right box type but i like them more - More light gets out). The current targets are still DE but they are the red circles.

Congratulations! I've only played a couple of games on that, but I liked it a lot. Very cool theme.

Oh.. here's a couple tips to add some longevity to the game.

In the settings, set Adjustment 45 Save Ramps = "No". This will clear the building of Star Wars between balls. This helps prevent some crazy astronomical scoring by shooting the ramp over and over and provides better balance.

Also, Adjustment 46 Spot Death Star = "Extra Hard". This will make it so you have to EARN your chance to shoot the Death Star. Much more rewarding this way!

You can read more about it here:
