Every time the USPS raises it rates FedEx and UPS soon follow.
I just took a small padded envelope to the USPS and it was $5. These used to be something like $3.20-3.50. Then they were $4 plus. Now $5. The guy at the counter said the same thing, its going to keep going up. His almost-exact words were "yep, the price is going higher and the delivery times are getting longer. What a bargain". They mostly are not too cheerful over there at the post office.

Not too bad with all going on. Over here in California we are paying approx $6.50 a gallon and soon to go higher with our Bay Area special blend

Have you also noticed how the USPS has maneuvered the rates to where a plain brown box costs almost as much to ship as one of the Priority Boxes?

Always have. They don't give a rip what the USPS does.
