Hello,
I own a super mario bros pinball machine and was wondering about a certain issue. On my machine, in test mode, the shield comes up and goes down as it should. But when I'm actually playing the game, it doesn't come up, like when I'm SUPER or I get "raise shield" in mystery awards. I would really appreciate anyone's help and I have no idea why the shield only works in test mode.
Thanks!!!

I was having the same problem. The solution was to get the switch that detects the drop target " shield " cleaned. The switch was detected in the switch test but during game play was not detected and caused the shield to not go up.
