Yes, that is "our" Shay on 60 Minutes.
Check it out.
Thanks for sharing.
Here's a description of the segment-
"A 60 MINUTES investigation looks into how the Pentagon, and taxpayers, get taken advantage of by U.S. defense contractors. Bill Whitaker sits down with former top contract negotiator Shay Assad, who says the accountability system in the Dept of Defense is broken, and major defense companies are flush with excess cash to hand out to shareholders."
Wow!
I wonder if 60 minutes did their research and found out that one time took Shay a few months to send someone a backglass!

Quoted from Evets:That was depressing. Expected, but depressing all the same.
It's not unique to just that industry. It's food, tech, medicine, entertainment...pretty much every industry has been getting consolidated and bought up by larger companies the last 20+ years, resulting in basically just one source for each individual product.
Quoted from ForceFlow:It's not unique to just that industry. ...
But what is unique to that industry is their "uncuttable sacred budget item" status.
IBTL!

My wife, a registered nurse, is now in charge of buying the medical supplies and equipment for OR surgeries. In that position, she also has awareness of various billing and purchasing decisions in the field, almost all of which back up your contention. My dad was a high level government administrator (non-elected) towards the end of his career. The purchasing and hiring insanity was shocking. In short, I hear you.
Quoted from Bonk:how the Pentagon, and taxpayers, get taken advantage of
"gets taken advantage of" lol. Remember that one time when the Pentagon misplaced 2.3 trillion dollars?

Yep, curious they announced it the day before they crashed a plane into the pentagon offices. Crash a few planes into some buildings to make the sheep forget you stole 3 trillion from the taxpayers.

Wait I thought 9/11 was all a false flag to stuff the closing of Williams/Bally under the rug and prevent outrage from the populace.
I don't know what to believe any more!
