This game had some hacking done to the harnesses. The pictured wire, the lead to get 24v to the playfield, doesn't seem to have another yellow/black stray wire anywhere. It's just coming up from the playfield and only has enough slack to have made it to one of the molex connectors in the backbox but there's no obvious paring. The molex it was in (which was lying as pictured on the bottom of the cab), also pictured, has no wire coming from the other half of the molex to tell me where this would go. Of course.

Schems say the gray wires give 24v but they all have other greys to match up to on the other hacked harnesses.

Will any 24v gray wire coming from the backbox do if it has the 24vdc? Don't want to hook it up wrong, either!

So - where does this poor little lonely wire go to?

Thanks much! So, that wire goes to. . . nothing? Bit confused as the schem also says this wire is responsible for the 24v to the solenoids (except the flippers). Could you try again with the pic? Either here or PM or I could send you my email if that helps.

Yup, same config as on mine. Hmm. . . well, thanks.

Quoted from hainter:

picture attached.
Looked at the harness closer there is a fuse that takes one of the gray wires and turns it into the yel/blk stripped that goes somewhere under the play field.

Yup. Well sum bitch - there it is. The gray does provide the power to the Y/Bl wire at the playfield fuse on the underside. The wire is a dead end - it' doesn't lead to the backbox at all, it's just to interconnect the solenoids under the playfield.

Thank you all so much!
