$1400 is the mid point for fully working I think. It's not an overly popular game.

It's better than it gets credit for though, and I think that it's suppressed price is in large part due to the fact that there are so few of them you never get to play one.

I am excited for a new house where I can put mine up

I agree that it doesn't hurt to make an offer. If they are fishing for a high price, they might take yours anyway.

If you can, go play it too. If you HATE it then obviously don't offer. If you love it they come up soooooo rarely then perhaps you want to pay a couple hundred more to potentially get it.

I personally feel like Sharkeys is a $1400 game all day if you're trying to sell one, but a $1600+ game if you're trying to buy just based on rarity.

Having said that, if you don't really want it, walk away now

Just out of curiosity, at $1600 for a mint one and let's say $1200 for a rough unshopped one, what would you consider better? I feel like that leaves us in Gottlieb system 3, Striker Xtreme and High Roller Casino zone, and while I enjoy the System 3 games more than most, I think most normal people would like this better.

Quoted from cards25:

Totally agree with this. If you like pool themed games, you can't beat Sharkey's for the price it goes for. And, it's deeper than you think. Only reason I sold mine was because of space. How's it treating you goatdan?

Heh, I played it a total of three times and then loaned it to a friend to put on route for a year. We are actively house hunting (FINALLY!), and I have said that if I don't have a house to put my "extra games" in soon, I'm going to sell them and buy a DeLorean (seriously).

I want SS back in my line up, I LOVE the 8 Ball Deluxe layout, and I think they did a great job adapting it.

Quoted from Slim64:

Wish I had bought it from you after seeing/playing it at MGC.

If we don't get a new house, it'll be FS in a few months.

not bad man, maybe someday I'll mess with the backbox, wish I was an artist.
just curious did you install this?
http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/520-5136-SK
saw it, and it seemed like a cheap enough mod that might be worth it. wanting to know if anyone else has installed it on this game or any other sega or stern.
I know the name Golden Cue was supposed to be the name of this game, think they even produced a few with the name https://pinside.com/pinball/archive/golden-cue
Do you have any idea why golden cue was actually listed as a Sega game? did stern buy the title when sega pinball went out of business and re theme it or something
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sega_Pinball_machines

Golden Cue used the same layout but was planned as a connected game like Golden Tee where you could compete. Problems with stopping people from cheating basically ended that. A few games were tested as Sega, and when Stern took over it was released as Sharkeys instead.

I know a friend who had a Golden Cue.
