Quoted from dementedwarlok:NICE!!!! Anyone inform why they did the backbox on these games plain
I dont know but Ive already got plans with the best painter in my area to shoot it all black and do a cool 8-ball graphic on it.
Quoted from Eric_S:Nice pick-up and located right under my nose! I look forward to playing it once it is restored.
This was funny, Eric eats at this place once in a while and never noticed it was in there, it was tucked in a back corner. Just to reiterate a little, I actually havent done the work for the son yet, it was just a "go grab it from my dad and we will work it out later" kinda deal.
Thanks as well to Hilton for joining me on the road trip, I didnt know if there would be lots of stairs to deal with or what, he did get a free lunch out of it though!
Quoted from Jediturtle:Nice! Must be good karma for all the ass-busting at MGC!
Lets hope so, maybe a game falls into my lap after every MGC going forward
Quoted from Toasterdog:Honestly I'd say 1300-1500 for good condition. I paid more for my current one, but it is in beautiful condition.
Yeah, this title rarely comes up for sale, for the record when I first starting talking with the op he wanted $800 for this specific one. Its in OK shape, shooter lane has the most wear.
Quoted from Toasterdog:I've been kicking around the same idea. Haven't decided on a graphic yet, but curious to see what you come up with. Looks like the PF should clean up pretty well. Doesn't look like there is too much wear over the upper left pop and the kickout can be covered with a Cliffy.
I'm on my second SSO too
It will be fairly basic but a huge improvement over what it is now, will see if Trilogy wants to jazz it up more than Im thinking when that day comes.
Quoted from cards25:LED it up, it will look great.
Definitely going to LED it, now that I have a few games with LED's that were not factory and also factory (AC/DC-Xmen-Avengers), Im getting a little pickier now, I might have to buy a bunch of those OCD boards for TRON-LOTR-Sharkeys-TZ-Spiderman, how much those cost nowadays?
edit----Ah, found it.... http://ledocd.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=2
So I did my typical process, gently novus1 to get the excessive dirt off, then Novus 2 to get the deep clean, then I hand applied and removed 2 coats of wax, but the removal of the 3rd coat of wax I used a 6inch power random orbital buffer. Turned out pretty shiny. I just wanted to get a little build up of product before running the buffer, Its so easy to burn right through the clear, right Jetzxi?
Quoted from Trophybeeyautch:I can give you dirty!
No Doubt, she is an expert on that!
Quoted from Ballsofsteel:hey centerfalnk, let me know if you need any replacement plastics at all...I have the whole set...
nice work on bring the black widow back!
Awesome and Thanks! I think the plastics were all pretty decent, but Ill dub check 2moro.
EDIT----I did pink post sleeves for Scott Danesi since he loves them so much!!!
Finally got this operational, turned it on last night and had a few flashers locked on and corrected that this morning. Still need to tinker with the 7 bank drop target, one was broke and one does that awesome pingpong up&down, should be here today. 1 pop bump needs to be fixed as well. (this isnt the new pf----thats gone for clear coating)
Added a few orange starposts for the slings as this comes with just plain black posts, did black flipper bats with clear rubbers, did clear rubbers for all but I didnt have any small sizes for the posts. Used Comet pinball Opmax2's for the GI.
Quoted from Ballsofsteel:can I join the purple/pink sharkeys party?
IN!
Crap, I just noticed that wire from the flasher ran in front of the metal protector above the extra ball scoop.
Quoted from Whysnow:do they make pink LEDs? Think this game could really use some...
They do, a few I bought from cointaker long ago didnt look too much different from purple ones. That back pf row is all purple in my pics.
Quoted from Ballsofsteel:your machine looks good center, and you have that backup pf? niiiiiice
Thanks, yeah I cant wait to see the clear coat on it. Now that I shopped it Ill probably wait a long time before I do the swap. No more pin projects this summer more than likely, time to kick back and play!
Quoted from trilogybeer:What's up with that?
Wall art......its actually a pretty nice piece though. Im going to try getting the mylar off and buff the crud out of it with the big orbital.
I ended up selling it but yeah, mine was rock solid, had no issues with it ever.
I really enjoyed it while I had it.
Quoted from Nintegageo:Recently sold my Sharkey's. Only due to space though, as this is a really great game that shall be missed.
Quoted from snyper2099:Agreed. I never want to let mine go.
its surely a fun game for its price point.
