Unreal pics.

I've been Big game hunting in Newfoundland Canada (Moose + Black Bear), Craig, CO twice (Elk) & Prince of Wales Island AK (Black Bear + Sitka deer) & By far.... (& it's not even close) Alaska was by far my favorite place to visit/hunt. Newfoundland was nice, but it's no Alaska.

We flew into Ketchikan & then took a float plane into Prince of Wales.... Not only do I like the geography/scenery/wildlife, but Alaskan life just seems to be so laid back & so much more in tune with nature. If there was any possible way for me to run my business out of AK I would have moved there years ago.... unfortunately having to ship everything I work on, really kills the profitability of doing it out of AK.

The most beautiful spot I have ever stood in my life was a little hidden spot on down by a specific creek on Prince of Wales. It was just a combination of the temperature that day, the sunshine, the beauty of the creek, the close location to the ocean, & I was sitting there watching the Salmon run up the creek & watched a big Black bear step out & catch a Salmon & take it back to edge of the creek to eat it. I will never forget the beauty of that spot... & I've been to a lot of beautiful spots to hunt & have a lot of special memories of all of them... but that one will always be my favorite.

Alaska to me is the Crown jewel of the United States.

That was a fairly exciting ride. This is not my pic but from a news source. This was like a mile from my house though! Saying 7.0 and it lasted a while. Went outside and the ground was just rolling. Saw a bunch a flashes from transformers blowing up. You hear an earthquake before it hits you.

Sun is setting at 3:30 pm and the mountains are glowing. Can barely see in the pic but they are on fire. Sunrise is like 10:30 too. At least the days are getting longer now. I really should go to the end of my street and get a good view.

Anyone heading to Anchorage and looking for a nice place to stay I would recommend Alyeska Resort https://www.alyeskaresort.com/. It's 40 miles S of Anchorage. Also, down the road from the resort, is a great place to eat called Double Musky http://www.doublemuskyinn.com/

Ok, this is not a joke, we have a wildfire right down my street. Like 2 houses down and across their field. Terrible pics but my wife took a vidoe on accident. Right down our street you can get a better view but our house is closer to the fire than this.

Posted pics of this trail before but we had a wildfire since and it is opened up. Found some red raspberries along the way. It was cut short as we headed into some thick brush and 2 black bear cubs got frightened and climbed up 2 trees. We got out of there before taking pics obviously since momma couldn't have been far.

Nice! Whisper is just a pup still but she is a good dog. Lab / Husky mix. Was a rescue from a remote village.
