Hey fellow TAF owners! I've had my TAF for a couple of years now but have been focused on shopping it and developing my own mod for it. Now that I'm finally done I'm ready to start looking at other mods to make my game look even better.

What are your favourite TAF mods? Got any cool pics to show them off?

For those that are interested, here's a photo of my TAF Feature Light Sign mod and apron cards.

Here is the first one that comes to my mind ;o) tv playing episodes of the old show and/or the newer movies.

I installed Joshes mod this weekend - easy to do and looks pretty sweet.

It came with custom apron cards too - I’m usually not one for these, but these looked so good I used them. They actually match the machine 100%.

Good value for money.

Oh jees.... Where do I start?... I'm thinking you need more Cliffy protectors to start with..

#6 6 years ago

Then Uncle Fester in chair MOD next for sure...

For my machine?

I have 120 pins and maybe 4 mods between them.

I’m not really a mod guy. I like to play them. And it’s a full time job keeping them all running as it is.

Definitely a solid baseline of mods for TAF! It has been a long time since I’ve LED’d a game. I’ve heard good things about the Cointaker kits, what would you recommend?

I have never bought a kit, so maybe someone else could comment on kits. I always just count up the number of each color I need, bulb type, etc. and place an order. I typically leave the G.I. alone and might brighten up the backbox with some LEDs.

That being said it has been years since I did this. My collection has gotten stale

The thing that attracts me to kits is that someone else has done the work of figuring out what goes where. I don't have a ton of time to spend mucking around with installing/removing/reinstalling bulbs and all the associated assembly/disassembly just to go through all the trial and error of getting to a good result. I'm quite happy to pay for convenience

Yeah, but most kits I’ve seen look like ASS.

Generally they are way too bright for my eyes (where’s the sunglasses) and most of the time bulbs are missing from the kit.

The time excuse is totally lame - as it takes exactly the same time to pull a LED out of any bag and put it in a lamp holder. 99% of the time you will be installing a white LED so you don’t even need to sort them out!

I can fully LED the controlled lighting in any pin (including cleaning the inserts) in an hour or less.

It’s not rocket science ....

The kits aren't cheap either. If I am just color matching inserts and maybe doing the backbox, we're talking about a $30 or so order from Pinball Life (or wherever you guys can get basic LEDs).
