Hello all, I'm in the process of restoring a Red and Ted machine and I'm testing some parts at the moment.

When I activate the shaker motor through the machine test menu, the shaker motor rotates, but it feels that it shakes rather weak. I tested the voltages of the corresponding pins at the power board, and it reads 20V, as it should.

Here's a movie of the shaker motor during self test. The speed of the movie has not been altered in any way.

How does it behave in your machine?

I cannot test it in-game as the machines is disassembled at the moment.

Thanks for your suggestion. I turned one a bit so they don't line up. It shakes a bit more now.

I wonder whether the motor needs to spin faster? It does turn a little slow, but maybe that's because I'm in test mode ?

I checked in the adjustment menu and the operation of the shaker motor is set to "normal" (other options are "weak" and "off"). If I change the option to weak, there is not much difference. Maybe that's because I'm in test mode, or maybe the carbon brushes need replacement?

Either that or the test mode just pulses the motor. Someone can verify on his/her machine?
