Greetings All.

Our Shadow is giving me fits! As you can see in the video the mini kicker going left is fine but it is so slow and sluggish going right.

Here is a video of the issue:

We have replaced everything on the mini playfield to try and rule that out (gears, motor, etc ... will have backups either way) and we upgraded the motor board to:

Using the buttons on the board, it works perfect both directions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks so much for the replies. I ruled out the rods and sleeves as they are band new and clean as a whistle (the mech is all new parts including motor). Everything moves freely and just fine when using the buttons on the upgraded motor board:

I tried switching flipper optos before but will give it another go.

Quick question for clarification, should I be able to test the left right motor movement with the flipper buttons as well as the coin door buttons? (coin door closed with the flipper buttons?)

In other news, I am going to swap both flipper opto boards with new ones I have to see if that helps.

Parts came in over lunch today so I had a chance to get back at it. The header at 126 tested just fine along with Q38. I replaced the connector though as it was pretty rough looking. Gave it a test and no luck again.

Cleaned the mini-pf optos and still no luck.

I swapped the flipper opto boards with new boards seen here (old on top, new on bottom)

SUCCESS!

It may have been a number of things as we did a lot of repair but the last item that I replaced was the right limit opto on the mini playfield.

The opto that was there appeared to be working but I notice while testing and testing and more testing that every now and then it would delay while registering. It was very rare that it was slow to register but figured I might as well replace it too and BAM everything works.
