So, you need a Bally Playboy
Just about any SS Bally, but of course the Playboy has every correct part so you don't have to hunt for some gate or something.
a playfield, backglass and plastics set.
Yes, CPR has all of this in a combo pack right now.
and some sort of projector? That's it?
The original had a projector with a film loop cassette. You could change the cassette to keep the women fresh.
Original working projectors are selling for $2500+, so I think there are a few possibilities that are better for my wallet.
1. 35mm slide carousel.
pros: Cheap (free, really, as everyone's parents have one in the closet ), better than HD resolution (way better, 4000x5200), easy to change pictures, easy to wire because remote is mechanical.
cons: must replace bulb with lower wattage, not made since 2004 - so can't get brand new, only holds 150 pictures - so some are going to be left out, need mirror to reflect image up to screen as won't run on it's side, even low watt lamp will need replacement some day.
2. Pico projector.
Pros: SD card & internal memory for pictures, LED lamp never burns out, easy 1/4-20 mounting bracket, super bright w/o a lot of heat, plays mp3 files in a loop, plays most movie files in a loop
Cons: price ($150-200), 640x480 resolution.
3. Backlit LCD picture frame.
Pros: cheap ($50-70), SD card & internal memory for pictures, easy to wire remote,
Cons: only HD resolution, requires clear playfield window (CPR told my client that they would provide it, no problem),
