Good to see the market still pretty strong for tz and Addams along with others . Were these prices before taxes and fees?

#3 6 years ago

yes all before fee's

#4 6 years ago

Wow some pretty strong numbers still good to see

#5 6 years ago

I was going to make yesterday my first auction but tailgated and went to the UT/Bama game last night.

Horrible 1st quarter but pretty decent after that. Hopefully I'll make an auction at some point. Thanks for posting.

#6 6 years ago

Wow a big selection compared to the last auction.

Looks like there were a couple of decent deals in there, but I agree strong prices in general.

#7 6 years ago

That auction took forever. Good one though.

That first Cue Ball Wizard was $1150, not $450. I know because it's in my basement. Major last second impulse buy on my part. Good condition.

Sinbad was not $250, it was $25.

I bought that second Bad Cats for $650. Cabinet looks terrible but it plays pretty good. The other one that went for $1450 had a much better cab but the wheel wasn't spinning, speech wasn't working, and i think the BG wasn't moving. Still need to get it out of the van but i think i did pretty good on that one.

Also bought some Cerwin Vega speakers for 50

They would have to be as not everyone pays the same taxes/fees. Some pay operator fee only and tax, some pay operator no tax, some pay as % and tax...I pay $10 per game no tax...

One guy bought a lot of the pins (not a buyback) including all 3 Twilight Zones.

Goldenoreos copied them (prices) down based on handwriting from auction staff at 11pm when we were leaving.

yea i didnt write down the nib games.

#12 6 years ago

That is a lot more pins than in Aug! I got out last time about 4 pm, 11 pm? That is a long day.

I should have driven up there just to play. I don't think I have seen that many pins together at once since the 80's.

#13 6 years ago

DAMN! I thought about skipping our league's tournament to go to this. Looks like I should have - I fought Atlanta traffic and came in second to last. I'm bummed that I missed Cleopatra and Gladiators - both on my unofficial list. I did pick up a Time Fantasy today, so I can't complain too much.

#14 6 years ago

BR, what did the Mustang LE go for?

#15 6 years ago

After taxes, those prices aren't anything to write home about. A few deals in there but mostly fair market value. What's cool is having all those pins setup in one location to buy!

Thanks for posting these!

i think the mustang le went for around 4000-4800. i didnt write down the nib games bc im my opinion it doesnt really matter bc anyone can get one and plus they were most likely buy backs

#17 6 years ago

btw im in the pic with the guy playing tz next to tommy, long hair guy off to the left with a black hoodie haha

#18 6 years ago

I didn't see a Walking Dead there. Be thankful he even took the time to write these down, it was a last minute thing at 11pm. NIB stuff is meh...everyone really wants the numbers for other games....Mustang LE (there were two) went for $4300 or so. I know you can buy them for $5000 so these were cheaper technically.

As always, operators don't pay the same with taxes/fees, so it's not the same for everyone.

We have 85 pins at my arcade to play in Nashville. Might be closer. lol

I picked up Gladiators, and I was willing to overpay on it. Heck the guy I outbid had never even seen it either (takes stuff to Mexico) so I think I was lucky he let me have it...he bought the Theatre of Magic for $5100.

A few people did really well on these...

High Roller Casino????? I couldn't sell that thing for $1200-1250 for ages. I even had an ad HERE for $1250 and no one bought it.

Still not understanding the Wheel of Fortune thing, must be artificially inflated by people here as this is not the first time I have seen it go for $1800 at this auction.

#23 6 years ago

Thanks for posting! Glad to see a lot of games at the auction. I hope that's a sign to come for the Winston auction in December!

I would have been a buyer at $1250 if you were closer. IMO any modern stern in decent shape <$2k is a good deal. I saw a nice one go on the Market here go for $2500 in the PA area.

And most of the WOF ive seen are $2500-$3k+. I wouldn't pay that, but it seems like a number of people will.

Yeah but even so, if one went for $2500, and the one I had was $1250 (and shopped and cleaned mind you) even with shipping that is $900 less than the $2500 one....every time High Roller goes at that auction it is $1100 or $1200..$1300 is the highest I have ever seen one go for there.

Also, pins are weird here and people definitely aren't sure of the values. I will never forget the Monster Bash incident with the one I had with no wear anywhere, super nice, nothing wrong and shopped for $8500 and people went off on me for that price, and then a month later someone has a WORSE one for the same price and there is no negativity, only "great price!" etc. I've always had terrible issues here selling stuff, but have been lucky that people have been great to send me stuff to purchase, though.

Yea location has a lot to do with it. Pins in PA/TX/CA tend to go easier and for a bit more than in TN.

#27 6 years ago

Even before fees these are still pretty decent prices. Wish I could have gone but it's too far!

As I said, shipping costs more than make up for it if the value is still way lower.
