Can anyone tell me how to set my Lucky Hand to freeplay? Per Clay's repair page, I need to add an extra switch to the start button. But there is no explanation about which wires to attach to the new switch.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Not being an AAB guy at all, I don't even know why it has a start button.

But I would guess you would have to wire it to mimic the coin switch closing.

What needs to be mimicked is the credit unit thinking there's always credit on the game-just like a replay unit. I randomly adjusted the two switches on the CU to no avail. So that's not it.

Phergott,

PM me, and I can respond with a photo of inside my coin door, I have a Lucky Hand.

There are two switches on the credit unit. To set Lucky Hand to free play, close both switches by bending them or using an alligator clip.

One of the switches completes the circuit to the "Credit When Lit" light on the apron. With it permanently closed, it will always stay lit.

The other switch partially completes the circuit that initiates the game's startup. With it closed all the time, you only need to push the coin door button to start a game.

Hmm, I did that already, credit light came on, game started but the ball did not eject. Must be a start-up sequence issue with both switches closed. Not knowing AAB's, is it normal for a game to start without pushing the start button when a quarter is inserted?

Success! Closed both switches on the credit unit this morning like I had done yesterday, but this time it worked.
