One thing I've figured out over the years when selling is the more the person talks, the less they buy.
I used to make posters for bands and I'd sell them at the show or at conventions. People would come up and ask a bunch of questions, do you have this or that, what's the story of this one, etc. Then they'd thank me and walk away.
Real buyers would walk up, usually not say a word or just ask for a specific poster, buy it and leave.
Serious buyers aren't interested in small talk or picking things apart, they pay cash and leave.
